Rownhams Lane, Test Valley, Temporary Road Closure due to Resurfacing Works.
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ROWNHAMS LANE, TEST VALLEY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Rownhams Lane between its junction with the village gateway signs entering Rownhams on Rownhams Lane and its junction with the far side of junction to Harrison Way & end of junction on Routs Way.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Rownhams Lane, Botley Road, then the A27 on to the A3057, through the Nursling Roundabouts to rejoin Rownhams Lane, and the same in the opposite direction.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 1st April 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 months, *and in operation for 24 hours a day*). The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for a contractor on behalf of Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties to carry out resurfacing works.
The contractor working on behalf of Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
