What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC
REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) Notice is hereby given that the City
Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC137708388: The City of Manchester (Baring
Street, Travis Street & Temperance Street, Piccadilly Ward)
(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under
s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the
Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Baring Street between
Fairfield Street and Buxton Street - Travis Street between
Fairfield Street and the Carpark & Temperance Street between
Hoyle Street and Fairfield Street. The alternative routes for traffic
will be: Fairfield Street, London Road, Mancunian Way, Baring
Street & signed locally to this route. The City Council is satisfied
that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the RHS at
Mayfield Depot. It is expected that the works will be in progress
from 17th April 2024 to 22nd April 2024. The order shall come
into operation on 17th April 2024 and may remain in force for a
maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are
completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have
effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 3rd April 2024.
ORDER NO. MCC137960800: The City of Manchester (Burton
Road, Didsbury West Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular
Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic
on Burton Road at its junction with Lapwing Lane to its junction
with Vicker Grove. The alternative routes for traffic will be
signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is
necessary in order to facilitate maintenance work in a pumping
station. It is expected that the works will be in progress on
the 14th April 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00.
The order shall come into operation on 14th April 2024 and
may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period,
the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter

The City of Manchester (Bootle Street, Deansgate Ward)
(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under
s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the
Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bootle Street between
Jerusalem Place and Marron Place. The alternative routes for
traffic will be: Jerusalem Place, Peter Street, Marron Place &
Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition
is necessary in order to facilitate the adjacent development.
It is expected that the works will be in progress 1 day
per week between 16th April 2024 to 16th October 2025.
The order shall come into operation on 16th April 2024 and
may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period,
the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter
period. Dated: 3rd April 2024. ORDER NO. MCC137962827:
The City of Manchester (Brown Street, Deansgate Ward)
(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under
s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the
Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Brown Street from King
Street to Norfolk Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be:
King Street, Cheapside, Chapel Walks, Pall Mall, Kent Street,
Sussex Street, Norfolk Street. The City Council is satisfied that
this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is
expected that the works will be in progress from 14th April 2024
to 6th October 2024 between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00
(5 different Sundays within the date range). The order shall
come into operation on 14th April 2024 and may remain
in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all
necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the
Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter
