What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.34) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order:

1. To Extend: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restrictions

Road - Description

Sporhams, Basildon - BOTH SIDES: From a point approximately 13.5 metres south of its junction with The Knares, south for approximately 5.5 metres.

This Order will be incorporated into 'The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019' by substituting map tile: TQ695 877 Revision 1 to Revision 2.

2. To Extend: 'Pedestrian Crossing Zigzags' on The Knares

South Side: From a point approximately 31.5 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Sporhams, eastwards for approximately 22.5 metres.

(Footpath 26 and Footpath 28, Great Wakering) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 26 and Footpath 28, Great Wakering in the District of Rochford.

Footpath No. - Description

Footpath 26, Gt Wakering - From the access gate at Cupids Corner to the sea wall at Morrin's Point, approximately 900 metres.

Footpath 28 Gt Wakering - From Morrin's Point to Wakering Stairs for approximately 916 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 01 April 2024 to 01 October 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction of sea wall access tracks and repairs to sea wall are undertaken.

Footpath 28 Great Wakering will be unaffected from Wakering Stairs to Havengore Bridge and will remain open. Byway 30 (The Broomway) will be unaffected. Access will need to be either from the north along Footpath 28 from Havengore Bridge or via public access road from Landwick Gates.

No suitable alternative route available.

The Order will come into effect on 01 April 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, (South of Barrow Hall Road) Barling Magna, and Great Wakering) (20mph Zone) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order: To Implement: '20mph Zone'.

Road - Description

Boar Street - From its junction with Turbot Drive for its entire length, including any turn points.

Nursehound Drive - From its junction with Turbot Drive for its entire length, including any turn points.

Thornback Street - From its junction with Turbot Drive for its entire length, including any turn points.

Turbot Drive - From its junction with Barrow Hall Road for its entire length, including any turn points.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 08 April 2024

(Chesham Drive, Laindon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chesham Drive, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Kings Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2024 for 64 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001313312 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Queens Road, Kings Crescent, Kings Road and vice versa (with access only into Chesham Drive)

The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dry Street, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dry Street, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from the junction of High Road for a distance of approximately 470m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF0K5H8L - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via High Road, Staneway, Laindon Link Roundabout, Laindon Link, Roundacre New Roundabout, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Nether Mayne, Dry Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Horace Road, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Horace Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Norsey Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th April 2024 for 22 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001318024 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Norsey Road, Headley Road, Stock Road and vice versa (with access only into Horace Road).

The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.5) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 21st March 2024 exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wash Road, Ramsden Crays/Noak Bridge in the Borough of Basildon, from the junction with Barleylands Road to the junction with Pipps Hill Road North a distance of approximately 800m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2024 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (BC311003WD3FRM2R - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Barleylands Road, Southend Road, Crays Hill, Hardings Elms Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
