Loughborough Road - Temporary Road Restrictions For Gas Main Replacement Works

(TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Portsmouth Road at its junction with Loughborough Road from 8.00am on Monday 15th April 2024 until 5.00pm on Friday 3rd May 2024, and from 8.00am on Monday 6th May 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 22nd May 2024. Diversion route:
Melton Road, Windsor Avenue, Loughborough Road. Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Shaftesbury Avenue at its junction with Loughborough Road from 8.00am on Monday 2nd May 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 5th June 2024.
Diversion route: Melton Road, Windsor Avenue, Loughborough Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Windsor Avenue at its junction with Loughborough Road from 8.00am on Monday 27th May 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 12th June 2024.
Diversion route (while closure on Shaftesbury Avenue is in place): Loughborough Road, Portsmouth Road, Melton Road.
Diversion route (when closure on Shaftesbury Avenue has been lifted): Loughborough Road, Shaftesbury Avenue, Melton Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Victoria Road North at its junction with Loughborough Road from 8.00am on Monday 17th June 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 3rd July 2024.
Diversion route: Loughborough Road, Checketts Road. Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Vicarage Lane at its junction with Loughborough Road from 8.00am on Monday 24th June 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024.
Diversion route: Loughborough Road, Belgrave Avenue.
This order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.
This Order will come into effect on the 15th April 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
