What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, TN14 6BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, on or after 11th April 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Whitley Cottage.
The alternative route is via B2024 Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Brasted Road, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane/Wheatsheaf Hill and vice versa.
Billet Hill, Ash, TN15 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Billet Hill, Ash, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Merry Lees.
The alternative route is via Billet Hill, The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Crowhurst Lane.
Bower Lane, Knatts Valley, TN15 6XS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Knatts Valley, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near the junction of Romney Street.
The alternative route is via A225 High Street/Station Road/Shoreham Road, Pilgrims Way East, Row Dow, Birchin Cross Road and vice versa.
Collet Road, Kemsing, TN15 6SG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Collet Road, Kemsing, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 14.
The alternative route is via Collet Road, Childsbridge Lane, Dynes Road, Northdown Road and vice versa.
Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Network Rail works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, at the railway bridge.
Closures are planned between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs from 11th April 2024, with estimated completion by 28th March 2025, or where stated on a valid Permit.
The road will be closed as and when indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Crouch House Road, Stangrove Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way/Station Road/Main Road, Hilders Lane, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.
Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, TN16 1SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the replacement of a telegraph pole, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to 4, Squerryes Home Farm Cottages.
The alternative route is via Goodley Stock Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road, A25 Westerham Road and vice versa.
High Street, Shoreham, TN14 7SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of an upgrade to the electrical supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Shoreham, on or after 8th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Two Brewers.
The alternative route is via High Street, Church Street, Station Road, A225 Shoreham Road, Castle Road, Redmans Lane, Castle Farm Road and vice versa.
Highlands Hill, Swanley, BR8 7ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of the replacement of a frame and cover in the carriageway, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Highlands Hill, Swanley, on or after 10th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Melrose.
The alternative route is via Highlands Hill, B258 Main Road, Home Hill, Lower Road, School Lane and vice versa.
St Marys Road, Swanley, BR8 7BU (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of St Marys Road, Swanley, on or after 24th April 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
Parking will be prohibited between 1a - 3.
Twitton Lane, Otford, TN14 5JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Twitton Lane, Otford, on or after 9th April 2024 for up to 4 nights between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Vale Cottage.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, Filston Lane and vice versa.

Because of gas mains replacement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.
