Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A249 Sittingbourne Road, Maidstone (SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow O2 works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 40MPH speed limit on part of A249 Sittingbourne Road, Maidstone, on or after 8th April 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The restriction will be in place approaching the Detling Interchange Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, ME18 6ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 10th April 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fairways. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2163 Lower Street, Leeds, ME17 1RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water supply works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Lower Street, Leeds, on or after 8th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Leeds and Broomfield Church of England Primary School, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Admiral Road, Hucking (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Admiral Road, Hucking, on or after 23rd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bicknor Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Admiral Road, Church Road, Broad Street Hill, Pilgrims Way, Hollingbourne Hill and vice versa.
Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, ME18 5GA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, on or after 27th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the Bow Bridge Level Crossing, between the hours of 00:01 and 04:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Bridge, Bow Hill, Kenward Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, Station Road, B2015 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Charlton Lane, East Sutton, ME17 3DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charlton Lane, East Sutton, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Church Lane to Chartway Street, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Charlton Lane, Chartway Street, Workhouse Lane, Church Lane, Charlton Lane and vice versa.
Coldblow Lane, Thurnham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldblow Lane, Thurnham, on or after 9th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Pilgrims Way to Rumstead Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rumstead Lane, Hook Lane, Church Road, Broad Street Hill, Pilgrims Way, Coldblow Lane and vice versa.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow broadband installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 8th April 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Deangate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 College Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2163 Heath Road and Dean Street.
The alternative route for any southbound through traffic is via Dean Street, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, Old Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Farleigh Hill and Dean Street.
East Street, Hunton, ME15 0RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Hunton, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stonewall. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

East Sutton Road, East Sutton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Sutton Road, East Sutton, on or after 9th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Brissenden House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Gravelly Bottom Road, Kingswood, ME17 3JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gravelly Bottom Road, Kingswood, on or after 10th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Gravelly Hall, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gravelly Bottom Road, Chartway Street, A274 Maidstone Road, B2163 Leeds Road, Ulcombe Road and vice versa.
Greenwich Close, Maidstone, ME16 0JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenwich Close, Maidstone, on or after 10th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for these works and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Holly Farm Road, Otham, ME15 8RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Farm Road, Otham, on or after 10th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Granville House, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no diversion route for these works, access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Honey Lane, Otham Street, Simmonds Lane & White Horse Lane, Otham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gully cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Honey Lane, Otham Street, Simmonds Lane & White Horse Lane, Otham, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
Honey Lane will be closed from The White Horse to junction of Stoneacre Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Otham Street will be closed from the junction of Simmonds Lane to The Limes, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Simmonds Lane will be closed from the junction of Simmonds Lane to the junction with Honey Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
White Horse Lane will be closed from The White Horse to junction of Simmonds Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic for Otham Street and White Horse Lane is via Otham Street, Green Hill, Otham Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road, White Horse Lane and vice versa.
The alternative route for any through traffic for Honey Lane is via Honey Lane, New Road, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road, White Horse Lane and vice versa.
Knowle Hill, Lenham, ME17 1ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knowle Hill, Lenham, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Knowle Hill Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Hill, Pye Corner, Windmill Hill, Knowle Hill Lane and vice versa.

To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Headcorn, on or after 8th April 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
