What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Unnamed Lane, Stubhampton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Unnamed Lane, Stubhampton for a distance of approximately 650 metres as indicated by signs on site. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 April 2024.
This Order will enable Renteq TM (South West) Limited, safe access to facilitate tree cutting works due to Ash Dieback.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of B3078 Cranborne Road, Wimborne St Giles
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 -16:00 on 5 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 April 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works. The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; B3078 Cranborne Road, Wimborne St Giles as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3078 Cranborne Road, Wimborne St Giles.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

The above Order, made on 02 February 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Deleting from them:
Part of Bridleway 10, Iwerne Courtney: The whole width of the bridleway from its junction with Fairfield Road (C138) at ST 85921254, south west across a grass surfaced field to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 10 at the track at ST 85851239. (No recorded width).
Part of Footpath 15, Iwerne Courtney: The whole width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 15, north west of 8 Old Mill Cottages at ST 85881281, south east then generally south, passing through a number of properties and gardens along The Laurels and General Wolfe Close to ST 85891268. (No recorded width).
Adding to them:
Part of Bridleway 10, Iwerne Courtney: From its junction with Footpath 13 at its junction with Fairfield Road (C138) at ST 85901256, south south west across a grass surfaced field and a crushed stone/ chalk surfaced track to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 10 at the track at ST 85851239. Width: 3 metres. Limitation: Field gate at ST 85901256.
Part of Footpath 15, Iwerne Courtney: From the unaffected part of Footpath 15, north west of 8 Old Mill Cottages at ST 85881281, south along a grass surfaced path (via ST 85881278) to its junction with Fairfield Road (C138) at ST 85881265. Width: 2.5 metres, except for 2.2 metres at ST 85881278.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may itself confirm the Order.
If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
