Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpaths 20.58/8/1 Scorton & 20.52/5/2 North Cowton, Order 2022 No 341

Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpaths 20.58/8/1, Scorton & 20.52/5/2, North Cowton, between grid references NZ27970319 & NZ26230156, as the bridge is due to be replaced but, due to budgetary constraints, we are unsure when a new bridge will be installed, has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 04/04/25 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The further continuation of the closure will be put into effect by notices & signs.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Beckside, Catterick Village, Order 2024, No. 109

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using that part of Beckside which passes from its junction with Low Green over the bridge over the beck for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 03/04/24 & 12/09/25, due to damage to the bridge. This Order follows on from 'Emergency Notice Number 94' which commenced on 13/03/24. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
