What is happening?

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (B829, Aberfoyle - Kinlochard) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc - No 2) Order 2024 under the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 22-3-24.
This Order will close:
B829 From Aberfoyle to Kinlochard from 0800 hours until 1700 hours from 13-4-24 until 3-5-24 to facilitate Public Utility works.
Emergency service access will be maintained
Alternative Routes: n/a - Temporary obstruction 15 minute delays

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (Castle Road, Doune) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2024 under the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 22-3-24.
This Order will close:
Castle Road From its junction with the access road to Doune Castle to its southern extremity from 15-4-24 until 19-4-24 to facilitate public utility works.

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (A81, Strathblane) (30mph Temporary Speed Limit) Order 2024 under the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 22-3-24.
This Order will introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on the A81, Strathblane from 30-3-24 until 1-5-24 to safeguard the public due to a damaged parapet.

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (B8034, Port of Menteith - Arnprior) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc - No 4) Order 2024 under the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 22-3-24.
This Order will close:
B8034 For its entire length from 0930 hours until 1500 hours on 17-4-24 to facilitate public utility works.
Emergency service access will be maintained
Alternative Routes: via A811, B822, A873, A81 and vice versa

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (A875, Buchanan Street, Balfron) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc and Suspension of Parking - Extension) Order 2024 under the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 22-3-24.
This Order will close
A875, Buchanan Street From the point where it meets Kepculloch Road to its junction with Cotton Street.
This Order will also suspend the parking on:
Buchanan Street From the point where it meets Kepculloch Road in a south-easterly, westerly then southerly direction for a distance of 200 metres or thereby from 0800 hours until 1800 hours from 2-4-24 until 3-4-24 to facilitate carriageway surfacing works.
Emergency service access will be maintained

Flood Prevention
Stirling Council
FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2009 (the “2009 Act”) AND THE FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT (FLOOD PROTECTION SCHEMES, POTENTIALLY VULNERABLE AREAS AND LOCAL PLAN DISTRICTS) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2010 (the “2010 Regulations”)
BRIDGE OF ALLAN FLOOD PROTECTION SCHEME 2024
In accordance with Section 60 and Schedule 2 of the 2009 Act and Parts II, III & IV of the 2010 Regulations, the Council proposes the Bridge of Allan Flood Protection Scheme (the “Scheme”). This constitutes a notice under Paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 2009 Act.
Summary of operations to be carried out:
•     To carry out operations to provide food defence walls at or in the vicinity of Allanvale Road, Cornton Road and Fountain Road, Bridge of Allan; and
•     To carry out operations to provide food defence bunds at or in the vicinity of Inverallan Road and the adjacent factory site (currently UCP Guala Enclosures).
The Council considers the following to be the likely benefts of the proposed Scheme which will be derived from the carrying out of the above operations:
•     The mitigation of the effects of fooding from the Allan Water to residential, community and business properties on the left hand bank of the Allan Water in Bridge of Allan; and.
•     The mitigation of the effects of fooding associated with the food defence wall on the left hand bank from the Allan Water to residential, community, and business properties on the right hand bank of the Allan Water in Bridge of Allan.

Stirling Council has determined the proposed scheme is not required to be subject to an environmental impact assessment. Screening opinions have been obtained from relevant consultative bodies (NatureScot, Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Scottish Water) who confrm an environmental impact assessment is not required.
All plans and supporting documents can be inspected from 26 March 2024 until the date a decision is made under paragraphs 4(1), 7(4) or, as the case may be, 9(1) of Schedule 2 to the 2009 Act at:
1. Online at www.fooding.stirling.gov.uk (at all times)
2. Stirling Council Headquarters, Old Viewforth, Pitt Terrace, Stirling, Stirlingshire, FK8 2ET (Monday to Friday between 0900 and 1700 hours, excluding any local holidays).
All objections to the Scheme must be in writing, and must be made before the expiry of 28 days beginning with 26 March 2024 and ending on 23 April 2024 to:
Stirling Council Flooding Team, Stirling Council, Endrick House, Kerse Road, Stirling FK7 7SZ or by email to: fooding@stirling.gov.uk. An online web form is also available to submit objections at www.fooding.stirling.gov.uk.
Any objection to the proposed scheme must include the name and address of the objector.
