What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

B2039 Ockham Road South, East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B2039 Ockham Road South, East Horsley that is crossed by the “Horsley Station, Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. 
This Traffic Order is required to enable Dyer and Butler/ Network Rail to erect scaffolding and/or to carry out inspections and/or repairs, maintenance and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 4pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 April 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to any property will be affected. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: - Ockham Road South, Guildford Road, Epsom Road, The Street, Clandon Road, Portsmouth Road, High Street, Portsmouth Road, Ockham Road North and Ockham Road South.

Woodbridge Hill (D4022), Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodbridge Hill (D4022), Guildford which extends from its junction with Aldershot Road (A322) to its junction with Weston Road (D4002). 
Alternative Route – Aldershot Road (A322), Dennis Roundabout (A25), Aldershot Road (A322), Worplesdon Road (A322), Stoughton Road (D4023) and Manor Road (D4022) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 days, between 10:30am and 4:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Various Roads in Elmbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 27 March 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works, resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)
(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Schedule
1. The entire lengths of D6881 Canada Road and D6882 Tartar Road, Cobham. It is anticipated that Canada Road and Tartar Road will not be closed at the same time. Alternative Route – D6885 Freelands Road; 2. the entire length of D6929 Upper Farm Road, West Molesey. 
Alternative Route – D6930 First Avenue, D6927 Molesey Avenue, D6929 Central Square and D6927 Central Avenue; 3. the entire length of D6855 Somerville Road, Cobham. Alternative Route – D6855 Littleheath Lane; 4. the entire length of B364 Giggs Hill Road, Thames Ditton. Alternative Route – A307 Portsmouth Road and D6815 Giggs Hill Road; 5. the entire length of D6938 Second Close, West Molesey, including the entire length of the roundabout junction with First Close. Alternative Route – D6940 Merton Way and D6938 First Close; 6. the entire length of D3845 Longmore Road, Hersham. Alternative Route – D3844 Riverside Road and D3844 Southdown Road.

Various Roads in Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 27 March 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works, resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2024. 1. The entire length of D3243 Marlborough Road, Ashford. Alternative Route – D3244 Talbot Road, D3244 Wellington Road, C241 Stanwell Road and D3242 Chesterfield Road; 2. the entire length of D3254 Clifford Grove, Ashford. Alternative Route – D3252 Parkland Grove and D3253 Parkland Road. 

Various in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. That length of C30 Dye House Road, Thursley which extends from its junction with C29 Thursley Road to its junction with C30 Old Portsmouth Road. Alternative Route – C30 Dye House Road, C29 Thursley Road, B3001 Milford Road, A3 Milford By Pass, A3 Portsmouth Road, C30 Thursley Junction and C30 Old Portsmouth Road; 2. (a) the entire length of A283 Cherry Tree Roundabout, Milford; (b) that length of A283 Cherry Tree Road, Milford which extends from its junction with A283 Cherry Tree Roundabout north-westwards for 30m; (c) that length of A286 Haslemere Road, Milford which extends from its junction with A283 Cherry Tree Roundabout south-westwards for 30m; (d) that length of A283 Petworth Road, Milford which extends from its junction with A283 Cherry Tree Roundabout southwestwards for 30m; (e) that length of A286 Church Road, Milford which extends from its junction with A283 Cherry Tree Roundabout, northeastwards to its junction with A3100 Portsmouth Road Mini Roundabout; (f) the entire length of A3100 Portsmouth Road Mini Roundabout; (g) that length of A3100 Portsmouth Road which extends 30m either side of the A3100 Portsmouth Road Mini Roundabout. Alternative Route 1 – Approaching from Godalming along A3100 Portsmouth Road looking to use A286 or A283: carry on A283 Portsmouth Road/A3100 Portsmouth Road, onto A3 slip/A3 to Petersfield, A272 to Midhurst, A286 Dodsley Lane (towards Haslemere),then onto A286 Midhurst Road, A286 Shepherd Hill, A286 Lower Street and A286 High Street/A286 Grayswood Rd/A286 Haslemere Road or B2131 Petworth Road, B2131 Rodgate Lane and 
A283 Petworth Road and in reverse but use Milford interchange to come off A3 onto A283 Link Road, A283 Guildford Road, A283 Portsmouth Road, A283 Cherry Tree Road; Alternative Route 2 – Diversion for Portsmouth Road Mini Roundabout: A3100 Portsmouth Road, A283 Guildford Road, A283 Link Road, A283 Elstead Road roundabout, A3 Milford By Pass, A3 Guildford and Godalming By Pass, B3000 Puttenham Heath Road, B3000 The Street, B3000 New Pond Road, A3100 Old Portsmouth Road, A3100 Meadrow, A3100 Bridge Road, A3100 Flambard Way, A3100 Ockford Road and A3100 Portsmouth Road; 3. the entire length of carriageway and footway of C23 Chalk Road, Godalming. Alternative Route – A3100 Bridge Road, A3100 Meadrow, D5400 Hare Lane, D5400 St Johns Street, D98 Farncombe Street, D5402 Nightingale Road and D5403 Deanery Road. High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill which extends from a point 30m north of its junction with the northern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm” to a point 30m south-east of its junction with the eastern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm”. This Order is required to enable ALS Civil to facilitate electrical connection and/or utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 10 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times by way of road plates. There is no alternative route possible for this road closure.

Various Footpaths/Townpaths in Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceed in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of pedestrian access to premises will be affected. Alternative Route – D942 Rydelands, D942 Slip of Wood, D942 Summerlands, D942 Barber Drive, D942 Footpath from Barber Drive to Harrowdene and D942 Killicks Footpath. 

Schedule
1.The entire length of footpath/townpath known as D942 Killicks, Cranleigh; 2. the entire length of footpath/ townpath known as D942 Rydelands, Cranleigh.

Hambledon Road (C31) Busbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hambledon Road (C31) Busbridge which extends 100m either side of its junction with the access road leading to Busbridge Lakes House. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works and/or connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Hambledon Road, Station Road, Station Lane, Portsmouth Road, Shackstead Lane, Park Road, The Drive, Brighton Road, Home Farm Road and Hambledon Road.
