PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 8 BURTON PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on the 26/3/24 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Public Footpath No. 8 Burton Parish from Burton Bridge for approximately 597 metres in a generally southerly direction to Andresey Bridge.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to ground control works for the Washlands Central Enhancement Scheme, on behalf of East Staffordshire Borough Council.
No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the of public footpath to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 1/4/24 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
