What is happening?

Bridleway 18, Chelmsford Garden)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 18, Chelmsford Garden in the City
of Chelmsford, from Essex Regiment Way, east approximately 450 metres to Fairway
Drive.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 08 April 2024 or where appropriate signs
are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the
public and workforce while new edging and surface treatment works are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Back Lane/Essex Regiment Way, Armistice Avenue,
Linear Park, North/South Greenway, Foot/cycle connections with Channels Phase 1-2
(Bellway development) and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 08 April 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Footpath 33, Chelmsford Garden)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close footpath 33, Chelmsford Garden in the City
of Chelmsford, from its junction with footpath 21, west for approximately 109 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 08 April 2024 to 04 October 2024 or where
appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while archaeological excavations are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via a marked route provided, footpath 21, west across
field boundary, north along field boundary and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 08 April 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brock Hill, South Hanningfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brock Hill, South Hanningfield
in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Sudbury Road for a distance of
approximately 570m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to
commence on 24th April 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(A5006ESSSTHAN0076 – County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary
for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installing
broadband works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.
An alternative route is available via Sudbury Road, Castledon Road, London Road,
London Road Roundabout, Golden Jubilee Way, Runwell Road Roundabout, Runwell
Road, Brock Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 4th April 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Lane, Little Leighs)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Little Leighs
in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Main Road for a distance of
approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to
commence on 26th April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit
(BC008OGEA74918279 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works
with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are
undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Main Road, Goodmans Lane, Great Leighs Bypass
Roundabout South, School Lane, Felsted Road, Littley Green Road, Church Lane and
vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 4th April 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Kings Road, Chelmsford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kings Road, Chelmsford in
the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Dixon Avenue to its junction with North
Avenue a distance of approximately 25m. The closure is scheduled to commence
on 27th April 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (VQ0155122062 –
Esp Electricity Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required
for the safety of the public and workforce while mains laying works are undertaken
by Esp Electricity Limited.
An alternative route is available via Kings Road, Swiss Avenue, Broomfield Road,
Corporation Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 4th April 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (No.1) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the Borough of Castle Point
& District of Rochford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th April
2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The road will be closed to
facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be
maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location
and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and
advanced warning signs on the road.

days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodhill Road, Danbury in
the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 200m south west of its junction
with Woodhill Common Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly
direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th April 2024 for 1 day, or
where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA11802805 – Openreach). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Woodhill Road, Molrams Lane, Maldon Road, Main
Road, Mayes Lane, Penny Royal Road, The Common, Bicknacre Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 4th April 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Park Lane, Ramsden Heath)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order
under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Lane, Ramsden Heath,
in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Brabner Gardens for a distance of
approximately 80m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to
commence on 12th April 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(A5006ESSSTHAN0068-03 – County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may
vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while duct installation works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.
An alternative route is available via Park Lane, Short Lane, Church Road, Downham
Road, Heath Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order
under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Hanningfield Road,
South Hanningfield/Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with
Warren Road to its junction with Tileworks Lane a distance of approximately 2220m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th April 2024 for 10 days, or where
stated on a valid permit (A5006ESSSTHAN0075 – County Broadband LTD).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/
or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and
workforce while cable testing works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.
An alternative route is available via South Hanningfield Road, Main Road, Rettendon
Turnpike, Runwell Road, Church End Lane, Brock Hill, Hawkswood Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for
18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
