NOTICE OF THE COMING INTO EFFECT OF A DIVERSION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SCHEDULE 14
EAST HERTFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (BUNTINGFORD FOOTPATH 15)
DIVERSION ORDER 2021
On 23rd June 2021 East Hertfordshire District Council confirmed the above
Diversion Order. The confirmation was advertised on 15th July 2021, but the
diversion did not take full effect until works necessary to make the new
footpath available for public use were completed.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of Buntingford Footpath
15 from Hare Street Road, opposite Pipkin Drive at TL 3679 2940 then
running generally ESE for approx 80m to TL 3687 2938 to a line
commencing from TL 3677 2940 then running generally E for approx 85m,
then SSE for approx 40m to TL 3687 2938. Copies of the confirmed order
are available at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/rowapps.
On 18th April 2023 Hertfordshire County Council certified that the new
alignment of the footpath has come into effect for public use. On the same
date the old footpath was extinguished.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC HERTFORD 54
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order
under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Byway
Open to All Traffic Hertford 54, heading southwest from junction with Horns
Road, for an approximate distance of 250m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network.
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Byway Open to All Traffic will be closed on or after 29 March
2024 for up to 1 week, when signs are in place.

WELL ROW, BAYFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Broad Green/Bayford Lane/Well Row,
Bayford from its junction with B158 Lower Hatfield Road south eastwards,
southwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with
Ashendene Road, a distance of approximately 2230m (“the length of Roads”),
except for access.
An alternative route will be via B158 (Lower Hatfield Road/Horns Mill Road),
Brickendon Lane, Brickendon Green and Bayford Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”),
except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on
both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. the A10 northbound slip road leading onto the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road
roundabout, Hoddesdon from its junction with the northbound carriageway
of A10 (unnamed road) north eastwards to its junction with the A10 Hoddesdon
Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 433m.
An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), the A10 Amwell Link Road
roundabout and A10 (unnamed road).
2. the A10 northbound slip road leading from the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road
roundabout, Hoddesdon from its junction with the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road
roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway
of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 528m.
An alternative route will be via the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road roundabout,
A10 (unnamed road), the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout and A10
(unnamed road).
3. the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the A10 Hoddesdon Link Road
roundabout, Hoddesdon from its junction with the southbound carriageway
of A10 (unnamed road) south westwards to its junction with the A10
Hoddesdon Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 416m.
An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), the A10 Turnford Link Road
roundabout, A10 (unnamed road) and A10 Hoddesdon Link Road roundabout.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect

(TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON BRITANNIA ROAD,
WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of Britannia Road, Waltham
Cross from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Victoria House’
south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), when
signs are in place.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOS.15-25 NUTCROFT, DATCHWORTH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”),
except for access:-
1. that length of Nutcroft, Datchworth from its northernmost junction with
Hawkins Hall Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 96m.
An alternative route will be via Hawkins Hall Lane and Nutcroft.
2. the road fronting Nos.15-25 Nutcroft, Datchworth from its junction with
Nutcroft south eastwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 68m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be
maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS
IN HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the
following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the
eastbound carriageway of A414 Hertingfordbury Road into Becketts, Hertford,
whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A414 Hertingfordbury Road.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from
the westbound carriageway of A414 Hertingfordbury Road into the central
reservation opposite Becketts, whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via A414 Hertingfordbury Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main
is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 March 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take
effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

of approximately 2734m (“the Road”), except for access.

vehicular traffic from using the road leading to Nos.200-208 Hertingfordbury
Road, Hertford from its junction with Valeside south westwards, north
westwards and south westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except
for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be
maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Church Lane, Gilston from its junction with Gilston Lane north

all vehicles from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length
of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Cheshunt from its junction with the B198
Lieutenant Ellis Way/A121 Winston Churchill Way roundabout northwards,
north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to
its junction with Church Lane (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 1914m.

sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the length of Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 April 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A119 HIGH ROAD, WATERFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of A119 High Road, Waterford from
a point in line with the north western boundary of No.47 High Road south
eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A119 (High Road/North Road/Cross Lane),
A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link),
A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Wadesmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road)
and A119 (Hertford Road/High Road).
The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be
executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 April 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
