Lilac Grove, Beeston - Road Closure to Carry Out Fibre Connection Installs
What is happening?

(LILAC GROVE,
BEESTON)
(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2024 (BX24-041)
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that the
Nottinghamshire County
Council has made an
Order, under Section
14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, in respect of
roads at Beeston in the
Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order
will be:
1. One Way Operation
of Traffic - no person
shall cause any vehicle /
pedal cycle to proceed in
the direction other than as
specified below;
a)
Road: Lilac Grove.
Length affected: from
its junction with Humber
Road South in a southerly
direction for a distance of
85 metres.
Direction of travel:
from South To North.
1. All existing permanent
restrictions will be
temporarily suspended as
required.
2. The restrictions
specified above shall
only be in effect when
the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will
apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on
Wednesday 3rd April
2024
Until 18:00 hours on
Friday 12th April 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that
during the period of
restriction the alternative
route available will be:
Meadow Road - Station
Road - A6005 Queens
Road - Beacon Road and
vice versa.
The Order will come into
force on Wednesday
3rd April 2024 and any
prohibition in it shall
apply on that day and any
subsequent day when
necessary to enable
works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue
in force until the works
are completed (within a
maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Electricity
Network Company
Limited to carry out fibre
connection installs;
