Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bicester, A4095

Prohibition of Through Traffic and 30mph Speed Limit

Date of Order: 25/03/2024

Coming into force: 30/03/2024

This Order continues in force the closure in January of part of the A4095 introduced because of road junction and associated improvements at the junction with the A4095 and Fringford Road which is now anticipated to be completed around 7 May 2024.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the A4095 east of Banbury Road and the junction with Fringford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The speed limit will also be reduced from 40 to 30mph.

The alternative route for traffic is via the A4421 Skimmingdish Lane, the A4095 and vice versa.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Bicester, Fringford Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2024 is hereby revoked/replaced.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T12855/AC)
