What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (New Swan Lane, West Bromwich) (Temporary Road Closure) 

Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along New Swan Lane between Swan Lane and Cygnet Road. A diversion route will be signed via Old Meeting Street, Black Country New Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 06/04/2024 effective from 31/03/2024 (8pm - 5am only). Purpose – to facilitate the loading of equipment for works located either side of the level crossing by Midland Metro Alliance. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Bell End, Rowley Regis) (Temporary Road Closure) 

Order 2024 has made an order to, other than in a north-easterly direction, temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bell End between Greenwood Avenue and Sandford Avenue. A diversion route for south- westbound traffic will be signed via Oldbury Road, Henderson Way and Birmingham Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 04/04/2024 effective from 02/04/2024. Purpose – to facilitate the reinstatement of the carriageway following pervious works by South Staffs Water at this location.
