CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order
pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road
Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Brook Street, Elsworth (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-417
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Brook Street, Elsworth as lies
between numbers 21 and 45.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Brook Street – The Causeway –
Church Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 15 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 14 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 15 April and
24 April 2024.
Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-418
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge
as lies between Shaftesbury Road and Clarendon Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134 – A603 – A1307 and
vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water reinstatement repairs
and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway
and it will come into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 7 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8 April and 10 April
2024.
Fisher Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-431
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fisher Street, Cambridge as lies
between Searle Street and Hilda Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Fisher Street – Caryle Road – Holland
Street – A1134 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 22 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 21 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22 April and 3 May
2024.
The Common, West Wratting (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-432
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Common, West Wratting
as lies between number 21 and Mill Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Burton End – Burton End, West
Wicken – High Street – High Street Southern Spur – Balsham Road – Mill
Road – Mill Road, West Wratting and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sluice value, frame, cover
repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this
highway and it will come into operation on 2 April 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 1 October 2025 whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 April and
4 April 2024.
Grange Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2024-434
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Grange Road, Cambridge
as lies between Adams Road and Herschel Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A
(Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A
(Amendment No. 84) Order 2000; Schedule 23 Part 2: Mandatory with flow
cycle lanes, Grange Road on both sides from its junction with Herschel Road
to its junction with Madingley Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and
it will come into operation on 1 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 30 September 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the
above section of road whilst works taking place on Grange Road, Cambridge
are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
1 April and 3 April 2024.
Meadow Road, Willingham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-437
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Meadow Road, Willingham as
lies between Longacre and Rockmill End.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 7 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 8 April and 14 April 2024.
Symonds Lane, Linton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
And High Street (B1052), Linton (TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF
7.5 TONNE WEIGHT LIMIT) ORDER 2024-455
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Symonds Lane, Linton as lies
between numbers 6 and 20.
During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridgeshire
(High Street and Wheatsheaf Way, Linton) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial
Vehicles) Order 1993 is hereby suspended insofar as it affects High Street
(B1052), Linton.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Symonds Lane – B1052 – Back Road
or via Back Road – Balsham Road – B1052 – Symonds Lane.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 22 April 2024 and continue until these works have finished
or on the 21 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 22 April and 26 April 2024.
Buchan Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-461
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Buchan Street, Cambridge as
lies between Buchan Street roundabout and 1 Tweedsmuir Court.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Buchan Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main reinforcement and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 15 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 14 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 15 April and 5 May
2024.
South Street, Comberton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-471
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along South Street, Comberton as lies
between number 32 and the B1046.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – A603 – Comberton Road,
Little Eversden – Royston Lane, Comberton – South Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 26 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 25 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs to
15:30hrs 26 April 2024.
Hooper Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-473
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hooper Street, Cambridge as
lies between Ainsworth Street and Sturton Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Sturton Street – Sleaford Street –
Ainsworth Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 10 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 9 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 April and
12 April 2024.
Caxton Road, Bourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-476
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Caxton Road, Bourn as lies
between Caxton End and Alms Hill.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Alms Hill – High Street – Gills Hill –
B1046 – A1198 – Royston Road, Caxton – Bourn Road – Caxton Road,
Bourn and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water disconnection and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 16 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 15 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16 April and
18 April 2024.
Teversham Road, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-478
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Teversham Road, Fulbourn as
lies between Fernleigh Farm and Hinton Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Hinton Road – Cambridge Road –
Yarrow Road – Gazelle Way, Teversham – Cherry Hinton Road – High Street –
Fulbourn Road – Teversham Road, Fulbourn and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 22 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 21 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22 April and 24 May
2024.
James Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-479
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along James Street, Cambridge as
lies between number 4 and Maids Causeway and vice versa.
The alternative route for vehicles is via James Street – Fitzroy Lane –
Maids Causeway and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 23 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 22 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23 April and 7 May
2024.
Long Road (A1134), Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-480
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Road (A1134), Cambridge
as lies between Guided Busway and Sedley Taylor Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge repairs and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 6 April 2024 and continue until these works have finished
or on the 5 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 22:00hrs to 06:00hrs 6 April to
7 April 2024.
Milton Roundabout (A10), Milton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-483
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Milton Roundabout (A10),
Milton as lies between the A1309 and A14 J A10/A1309 leave E.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A14 – B1049 – A14 – A14 J A10/
A1309 Leave E.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge surveys and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these works have finished
or on the 7 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 8 April to
10 April 2024.
Duck End, Girton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-486
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Duck End, Girton as lies
between numbers 10 and 14.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Lane – Cambridge Road –
High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 11 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 10 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and
15:30hrs 11 April 2024.
School Lane, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-487
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along School Lane, Fulbourn as lies
between number 55 and Doggets Lane.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Road – Fulbourn Road,
Cambridge – Cherry Hinton Road – A1134 – A1307 – A11- Balsham Road –
Home End – Dogget Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 2 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 1 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 2 April and 4 April 2024.
Milton Road, Impington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-488
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Milton Road, Impington as lies
between Manor Farm and St Andrews Way.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Butt Lane – A10 – Landbeach Road –
High Street, Landbeach – Green End – Cottenham Road – Beach Road,
Cottenham – Denmark Road – B1049 – Impington Lane, Impington –
Burgoynes Road – Milton Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 3 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 2 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 3 April
to 4 April 2024.
Gilbert Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2024-489
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Gilbert Road, Cambridge as
lies between numbers 175 and 181.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B
(Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle
lanes, Gilbert Road on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with
Histon Road to its junction with Milton Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and
associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane
and it will come into operation on 10 April 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 9 October 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the
above section of road whilst works taking place on Gilbert Road, Cambridge
are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
10 April and 12 April 2024.
West Wickham Road, Balsham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-490
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Wickham Road, Balsham
as lies between Stocking Toft and The Orchard.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Balsham Road – Mill Road – Mill
Road, West Wratting – High Street – Honey Hill – West Wratting Road,
Balsham – West Wickham Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 18 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 17 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:30hrs and
14:30hrs 18 April 2024.
Cherry Hinton Road and Airport Way, Teversham (TEMPORARY NO RIGHT
TURN) ORDER 2024-491
Is to stop any vehicle from turning right from Cherry Hinton Road and Airport
Way, Teversham
The alternative route for vehicles is via Airport Way.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 1 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 30 September 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 April and 12 April
2024.
Shepreth Road, Shepreth (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-492
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Shepreth Road, Shepreth as
lies between number 16 and the A10.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A10 – Station Road, Meldreth –
Station Road, Melbourn – Mortlock Street – New Road – A505 – B1368 –
Long Lane, Fowlmere – Shepreth Road, Fowlmere and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway, footway, cycle
improvement and associated works which are being carried out on or near
this highway and it will come into operation on 1 April 2024 and continue
until these works have finished or on the 30 September 2025 whichever
is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
1 April and 9 June 2024.
Coronation Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-494
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Coronation Street, Cambridge
as lies between Hills Road and George IV Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Coronation Street – Panton Street –
Union Road – George IV Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate scaffolding and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 5 April 2024 and continue until these works have finished
or on the 4 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 5 April
to 19 July 2024.
Pages Close, Histon (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-496
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Pages Close, Histon as lies
between numbers 32 and 42.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of gas pipes and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 7 October 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 8 April and 12 April 2024.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Rectory Farm Road, Little Wilbraham
– Pit Road – Little Wilbraham Road – Little Wilbraham Road, Stow-Cum-Quy –
A1303 – Airport Way, Fen Ditton – Airport Way, Teversham – Cherry Hinton
Road (C233), Teversham – Gazelle Way – Yarrow Road, Teversham, Yarrow
Road, Fulbourn – Cambridge Road – School Lane – Church Lane – Station

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully installation, kerbing,
resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this
highway and it will come into operation on 12 April 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 11 October 2025 whichever is the
earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 12 April 2024 to 27 January 2025.
Chalk Grove, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-498
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chalk Grove, Cambridge as lies
between numbers 7 and 11.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Queen Edith Way – Almoners Avenue
– Netherhall Way and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 15 April 2024 and continue until these works
have finished or on the 14 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 15 April and
18 April 2024.
Hinton Road, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hinton Road, Fulbourn as lies
between number 26 and Cherry Orchard.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Road – School Lane –
High Street (C232) – High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 7 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 8 April and 26 April 2024.
Newmarket Road (B1103), Burwell (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-501
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Newmarket Road (B1103),
Burwell as lies between St Marys View and the B1102.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102 – B1103 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main reinforcement and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it
will come into operation on 8 April 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 7 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 8 April and 19 May 2024.
Logans Way, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-502
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Logans Way, Cambridge as lies
between St Andrews Road and Mariners Way.
