(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure for gas mains replacement) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Ontario Place, Chapel Allerton, Leeds in the Chapel Allerton Ward. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: No diversion route necessary as either side of Ontario Place is a dead end road. King George Ave will remain open at the junctions. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 8th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 3rd May 2024. The closure will be in place

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure required for tower crane dismantle) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Merrion Street, Leeds, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward, between its junctions with Wade Lane and New Briggate. It is also considered necessary to: Reverse one-way on Belgrave Street/Cross Belgrave Street, between their junctions with Wade Lane and New Briggate. Suspend parking bays on Belgrave Street/Cross Belgrave Street, between their junctions with Wade Lane and New Briggate. Suspend Bus Lane on North Street, from its junction Grafton Street southbound. DIVERSIONARY ROUTE: A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Main Diversion: Belgrave Street, Cross Belgrave Street. Alternative diversion: New Briggate, North Street, Grafton Street, Lovell Park Road, Wade Lane, Belgrave Street. HGV Diversion: Wade Lane, Grafton Street, North Street. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road Closure required for gas mains connection works Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Stanhope Drive, Horsforth, Leeds in the Horsforth Ward between its junctions with Stanhope Drive and Broadway. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Stanhope Drive and Broadway. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure to facilitate lane closure works on Call lane to remove existing manhole shaft works. Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Pitfall Street, Leeds, Leeds in the Hunslet & Riverside Ward at it’s junction with Call lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: N/A. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 15th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Vaisakhi Parade – Saturday 20th April 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that that Leeds City Council as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District in not less than 7 days intend to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting and restricting the use of certain roads by vehicles to facilitate the holding of the Vaisakhi Parade on Saturday 20th April 2024. The event will require the closure of certain roads and road junctions in Leeds City Centre and Chapeltown as referred to in the Schedule below. The Order will come into effect at 10:00 hours on Saturday 20th April 2024 and will continue in force until 18:00 hours. Where necessary local diversions will be in operation and will be signed as appropriate. The Order will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the Order relates, or to any premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, any such road. The Police will be in attendance and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Parade Route – Inbound (10:00-14:00 hours) The Parade will assemble outside the Sikh Temple at Brandon Way; and proceed along Chapeltown Road, Newton Road, Harehills Lane, Avenue

Hill, Harehills Avenue, Chapeltown Road, Sheepscar Street South, Regent Street, Eastgate, The Headrow, Albion Street and Great George Street; before heading back onto Cookridge Street and into Millennium Square, where a celebration will be held. Parade Route – Outbound (15:30-18:00 hours) On completion of the above celebration, the Parade will return to the Sikh Temple at Brandon Way; via Portland Crescent, Portland Gate, Cookridge Street, Clay Pit Lane & Chapeltown Road. Closure points from 10:00 hours to 18:00 hours – to facilitate the Parade route. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (surface dressing), Leeds City Council has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel in excess of 20mph along:1. Selby Road, Austhorpe between its junctions with Stile Hill Way and Colton Lane. 2. Leeds Road, Bramhope between its junctions with Church Hill and Pool Bank New Road. 3. The Order will close to pedestrians the length of Footpath No.50, Pudsey – from Sycamore Chase in a northerly direction to a point north of Greenwood Row, at the rear of no.27 Crimbles Road. The diversion route will be available by proceeding via Sycamore Chase, Kent Road, path to Crimbles Road, to the point of closure, and vice versa. The Order is necessary to enable works to be undertaken on or near the footpath. The Order is due to come into operation on 11 April 2024 and will continue in effect until 3 October 2024. ORDER 2024 The Order will close to pedestrians (i) Footpath Leeds No. 229 – full length (to Footpath Morley No.33); (ii) Footpath Morley No.33 – from Footpath Leeds No.229 to the junction with Footpath Morley No. 35; and (iii) Footpath Morley No.148 – from Little Lane to the junction with Morley No. 35. The diversion routes will be (i) for Leeds No.229 and Morley No. 33 via, Elland Road (427723, 429966), Millshaw (427838, 430049 to 428091, 430029), Millshaw Road (428266, 429537). Leeds City Council has today made the above Orders under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which come into force on 1st April 2024 is to introduce: 1. No waiting at any time of parts of: Otley Road, Guiseley. 2.
