Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 27 March 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend the weight limit on C4 Updown Hill to facilitate works specified in part 5 to the Schedule. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works, resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Schedule
1. The entire length of D3518 Robins Bow, Camberley. Alternative Route – D3517 Forest Hills; 2. that length of D3462 Bayfield Avenue, Frimley (a) which extends from its junction with D3461 Blythwood Drive to its junction with D3461 Badgerwood Drive; and (b) which extends between the north-western boundary of No.2 Bayfield Avenue and its southernmost arm A325 Portsmouth Road. Alternative Route – A325 Portsmouth Road, D3461 Blythwood Drive and D3461 Badgerwood Drive; 3. that length of A30 London Road, Camberley which extends from its junction with The Maultway to its junction with Waterers Way. Alternative Route 1 – A30 London Road, B3015 The Maultway, B311 Red Road, A322 Gordon Boys Roundabout, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Bagshot By-Pass and A30 London Road. Alternative Route 2 – A30 London Road, A322 Grove End, A322 Bagshot By-Pass, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Gordon Boys Roundabout, B311 Red Road, B3015 The Maultway and A30 London Road; 4. that length of A30 London Road, Camberley which extends from its junction with Kings Ride to its roundabout junction with A30 Marshal Road. Alternative Route 1 – A30 Marshall Road (roundabout), A331 Blackwater Valley Road, A325 Frimley By-Pass, A325 Portsmouth Road and A30 London Road; Alternative Route 2 – D3402 Kings Ride, D3404 College Ride, D3410 Upper College Ride and D3416 Caesars Camp Road; 5. that length of (a) B386 Kennel Lane/B386 School Road/B386 Updown Hill, Windlesham which extends from a point 50m north-west of its junction with Snows Ride to its junction with Cooper Road; and (b) D5 Pound Lane, Windlesham which extends from its junction with Updown Hill, south-westwards for a distance of 40m. Alternative Route 1 – B386 School Road, A30 London Road, A322 Grove End, A322 Bagshot By-Pass, C2 New Road, C3 Church Road, C4 Thorndown Lane, C4 Updown Hill and B386 Updown Hill; Alternative Route 2 – B386 Updown Hill, C4 Updown Hill, C4 Thorndown Lane, C3 Church Road, C2 New Road, About turn at B3029 Guildford Road roundabout, A322 Bagshot-By Pass northbound, A30 London Road and B386 School Road; 6. that length of D3419 Wimbledon Road, Camberley which extends from its junction with High View Crescent to its junction with Bracknell Road. Alternative Route – D3420 Bracknell Road, D3420 Kingston Road and D3419 Wimbledon Road;7. that length of B3411 Frimley Road, Frimley which extends from its junction with A30 London Road to its junction with A325 Frimley By-Pass. Alternative Route – A325 Portsmouth Road and A30 London Road; 8. that length of B3015 The Maultway, Camberley which extends from its junction with Upper Chobham Road to its junction with Cumberland Road. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 8pm and 6am. Alternative Route – D3488 Old Bisley Road and B311 Upper Chobham Road; 9. that length of A325 Portsmouth Road, Camberley which extends from its junction with A30 London Road to its junction with Collingwood Rise. Alternative Route – A30 London Road, A331 Blackwater Valley Road, A325 Frimley By-Pass and A325 Portsmouth Road.
Park Street (D3514) Camberley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians) from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Street (D3514) Camberley which extends from its junction with Park Road to its junction with Middle Gordon Road. This Order is required to enable Groundlord Ltd to carry out tree works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the closure will be maintained, including access by pedestrians to these premises. Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency service vehicles, cyclists, equestrians and general pedestrians will not be maintained and will be required to follow the diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route – Pembroke Broadway, High Street, Heathcote Road and Park Road or vice versa.
