(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SLEDDALE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sleddale, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wensleydale south westwards for its entire length (“the Road”). There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Alexandra Road north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Waterside, a distance of approximately 155m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Church Lane, A4251 Watford Road, Home Park Mill Link, Station Road and Water Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. Flaunden Lane, Felden/Bovingdon from its junction with Longcroft Lane south westwards to its junction with Chipperfield Road, a distance of approximately 2275m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Longcroft Lane and Chipperfield Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

1. that length of Astrope Lane, Puttenham/Astrope/Long Marston from its junction with Broad Highway north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Tring Road, a distance of approximately 1881m.
An alternative route will be via Broad Highway, B489 Lower Icknield Way, Wingrave Road and Tring Road.
2. that length of Broad Highway, Tring from its junction with Astrope Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 668m. An alternative route will be via Astrope Lane, Tring Road, Wingrave Road, B489 Lower Icknield Way and Broad Highway. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, Warners End Road,
Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Heath Lane,
Anchor Lane, Beechfield Road and Anchor Lane or via Fishery Road, A4251 London Road, A4146 Station Road and St Johns Road.
2. that length of St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Anchor Lane south eastwards to a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.174 St Johns Road, a distance of approximately 135m. An alternative route will be via Anchor Lane, Beechfield Road and St Johns Road.
3. that length of Sebright Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 25m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road and Sebright Road.
4. that length of Puller Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 25m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Puller Road.
5. that length of Cowper Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Cowper Road.
6. that length of Thorne Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. that length of Fishery Pasage, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.

9. that length of Horsecroft Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wharf Road north westwards to a point in line with the western boundary of No.74 Horsecroft Road, a distance of approximately 167m. An alternative route will be via Wharf Road, Kingsland Road, Fishery Road and Horsecroft Road.
10. that length of Kingsland Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wharf Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 135m.
An alternative route will be via Wharf Road, Horsecroft Road, Fishery Road and Kingsland Road.
11. that length of Wharf Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Horsecroft Road south eastwards to its junction with Kingsland Road, a distance of approximately 78m.
An alternative route will be via Horsecroft Road, Fishery Road and Kingsland Road.

1. that length of Gravel Path, Berkhamsted from its junction with George Street north eastwards to its junction with Millfield, a distance of approximately 284m.
An alternative route will be via Gravel Path, Ravens Lane, A4251
London Road, A4146 (Station Road/Leighton Buzzard Road), B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Potten End Hill, Water End Road, The Common and Gravel Path.
2. that length of Ellesmere Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

An alternative route will be via A4251 (London Road/High Street),
A416 (Kings Road/ Kingshill Way/Chesham Road/Ashley Green
Road/Nashleigh Hill/Berkhampstead Road/Broad Street) and B4505 (Eskdale Avenue/Lye Green Road/Orchard Leigh/Rushmere Lane/ Chesham Road).
