NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTON – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads Within Crewe & Nantwich
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit and restrict traffic.
Prohibition and restriction of traffic – A49 Whitchurch Road, Bulkeley & Ridley/Spurstow – For the full extent.
A500 Shavington Bypass, Stapeley & District/Shavington Cum Gresty/Weston & Crewe Green – For the full extent
Swinbourne Drive, Crewe – For the full extent
Ravenscroft Road, Crewe – For the full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 22 April 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Saturday 17 August 2024.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Newcastle Road, Shavington
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Newcastle Road, Shavington – From the junction with Main Road to the junction with Huntersfield.
The alternative route will be via Newcastle Road, Main Road, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Shavington Bypass, Shavington Bypass Roundabout, Jack Mills Way, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, Meremoor Roundabout, Weston Roundabout and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Wednesday 3 April 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 9 April 2024.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Welshmans Lane, Henhull & Wettenhall Road, Reaseheath
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Welshmans Lane, Henhull – For 100m from the junction with Millstone Lane.
Wettenhall Road, Reaseheath. – For 100m from the junction with Millstone Lane.
Alternative route 1 will be via Welshmans Lane, Waterlode, High Street, Swine Market, Beam Street, Barony Road, Millstone Lane Roundabout, Millstone Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
Alternative route 2 will be via Millstone Lane, Millstone Lane Roundabout, Main Road, Nantwich Road, Minshull Lane, Winsford Road, Wettenhall Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 1 April 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 12 April 2024.

Public Rights of Way Notices
The Cheshire East Borough Council (Footpath No. 36 (Part) Town of Sandbach) Public Path Diversion Order 2023
On 9th November 2023, the Cheshire East Borough Council confirmed the above named Order although it is not yet operational. It will become operational on the date on which the Council certifies that the terms of Article 2 within the Order, have been complied with.
The effect of the Order will be to divert that length of Public Footpath No. 36 in the Town of Sandbach commencing at SJ 7388 6195 and running in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 12m to SJ 7389 6193 and running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 9m to SJ 7390 6193 to a new line commencing at SJ 7388 6195 and running in a generally easterly direction for approximately 14m to SJ 7390 6195 and then running in a generally southerly direction up the stairs for the bridge over the railway for a distance of approximately 13m to SJ 7390 6193.
Copies of the Order and plan have been deposited and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in the Rights of Way Unit at the office of the undersigned and at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1HZ. Copies of the Order and the Plan may be obtained free of charge from the undersigned.
The Order will became operative on the date on which Cheshire East Borough Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks of 27th March 2024 as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
