NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC &
20MPH SPEED RESTRICTON – ROAD TRAFFIC
REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads Within
Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes
to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily
prohibit and restrict traffic.
Prohibition and restriction of traffic – A54 Buxton Road,
Bosley/Wincle/Macclesfield Forest & Wildboarclough –

Earlsway, Macclesfield – For the full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 22 April 2024
and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time
as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the
highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by Saturday 17 August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 9 Parish of Sutton
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section
14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended
by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that
the Cheshire East Borough Council have made an Order, the
effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians
on the following:
That length of Public Footpath Number No. 9 Sutton which
commences OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9548 7160 and runs
in a generally northerly direction for approx. 309m. to OSGR
SJ 9544 7189. The closure is necessary due to a collapsed well.
The closure continues the restriction that came into force
on 2 March 2024 and will continue in force for a period not
exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent
to the footpath are completed.
An alternative route is available on site.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 13 In The Parish of Gawsworth and
Public Footpath No. 1 In The Parish Of Marton (Part)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14
(2) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of
which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the
following Public Footpaths:
That Public Footpath No.13 in the parish of Gawsworth which
commences at the junction of Public Bridleways No.12 and No.14
in the parish of Gawsworth at O.S. grid reference SJ 8680 6838
and runs in a generally south westerly direction for approximately
355 metres to the junction of Public Footpath No.1 in the parish
of Marton at O.S. grid reference SJ 8657 6814 and then continues
in a generally south westerly direction for approximately
630 metres to the junction of Public Footpath No.11 in the parish
of Marton at O.S. grid reference SJ8631 6769.
The closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to
the public posed by a collapsing foot bridge.
The closure will come into force on 21st March 2024 and will
continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until
the bridge repairs are completed, whichever is the earlier.
No alternative route is available.
