Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Speed Restrictions due to Works.
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C453 THE STREET, BELSTEAD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C453 The Street, Belstead from Old Blacksmiths to Glenacre to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Grove Hill, Ellenbrook Road, Stoke Park Drive, Belstead Road, Stoke Street, the B1073, the A137, the road from Belstead to the A137 The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/03/2024 -28/03/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6018 COW AND SHEEP DROVE, WEST ROW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6018 Cow and Sheep Drove, West Row from 90 metres north of the junction with Cooks Drove for 50 metres northbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cow and Sheep Drove, Cooks Drove, The Green, Pollards Lane, Hurdle Drove, Cow and Sheep Drove and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/04/2024 from 8am - 2pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5801 FOXES LANE, MENDHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5801 Foxes Lane, Mendham from 552 metres northwest of Hollow Lane for 20 metres north westbound to facilitate installing a new water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Withersdale Road, the B1123, Sandpit Hill and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/04/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C521 NUTTERY VALE, HOXNE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C521 Nuttery Vale, Hoxne from 1 metre southwest of the junction with Cross Street for 35 metres south westbound to facilitate installing a water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Eye Road, Goldbrook, Abbey Hill, Cross Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/04/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3123 GRANGE ROAD AND MAIDSTONE ROAD, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads to facilitate carriageway resurfacing:
• the U3123 Grange Road, Felixstowe from Grange Farm Avenue to Maidstone Road.
• the U3123 Maidstone Road, Felixstowe from Grange Road to Seaton Road.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Seaton Road, High Road West, Garrison Lane, Mill Lane, Grange Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/03/2024 -28/03/2024 from 9.30am - 2.45pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended oy the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C465 WOODLANDS ROAD, RAYDON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the C465 Woodlands Road, Raydon from 200 metres south of the entrance to Woodlands Hall to 75 metres south of Raydon Road to facilitate safety during use of access point by heavy plant machinery. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05704/2024 -04/10/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C730 POND HALL ROAD, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the C730 Pond Hall Road, Hadleigh from Hadleigh Bee Farm to Capitol Stud Farm to facilitate safety during use of access point by heavy plant machinery. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/04/2024 -04/10/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 47, OLD NEWTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 47, Old Newton from the junction with Greenacres for 100 metres southbound for safety reasons to enable construction of a housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be the B1113 and then diversion displayed on site.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 07/03/2024.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 06/09/2024 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
