NEWARK & SHERWOOD DISTRICT COUNCIL
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2024

Newark and Sherwood District Council (hereinafter called “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended (“the 1984 Act”) and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended (“the 2004 Act”) and of all other enabling powers, with the consent of the Nottinghamshire County Council in accordance with section 39(3) of the 1984 Act and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire Constabulary in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act hereby makes the following Order:
A copy of the draft Order, maps, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at the main reception at Castle House, Great North Road, Newark during normal office hours. Anyone wishing to support or object to the proposals may do so by sending their representations in writing to the Director Safety with reference: Brian Rawlinson-Parking Services Manager, Corporate Property, Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark,
Notts, NG24 1BY by 11th April 2024 stating the grounds of support/objection.

PART I GENERAL

Commencement and Citation

1. The effect of this Order will be to amend the Newark and Sherwood District Council’s (Off Street Parking Places Order 2022) (Amendment No 2) The amended Newark and Sherwood District Council’s Off – Street Parking Places Order 2024 shall come into operation on 15th April 2024

Amendments

• Incorporate an additional car park – Newark Hospital, Bowbridge Road NHS Staff Car Park (CE54)

• Amend the current car parking at NSDC 1 Castle House (CE007). This Car Park will become the Air and Space Institute Pay on Foot Car Park

• Amend the fees and charges at Newark Lorry Park

• Amend the Fees and Charges at Southwell Church Street and King Street Car Parks

• Amend the period of Free Parking on East Lane and West Lane Car Parks, Edwinstowe

• Administrative and formatting amendments of the Parking Places Order 2022

Revocations

The Newark and Sherwood District Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 for the above schedule references is revoked as from the date this Order comes into operation and any variations thereto attached to these orders are revoked in their entirety as from the date this Order comes into operation.
