What is happening?
Hertfordshire County Council:
(Temporary Closing Of Clarendon Road, Watford) Order No.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Clarendon Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Gartlet Road, a distance of approximately 162m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), A412 St Albans Road, Station Road and Clarendon Road or via Clarendon Road, Station Road, A412 St Albans Road and A411 Beechen Grove.
The Order is needed to allow a mobile crane to be placed on the highway to dismantle a tower crane near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Chalfont Lane, Chorleywood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chalfont Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Blacketts Wood Drive south eastwards to its junction with Shire Lane, a distance of approximately 474m.
An alternative route will be via Blacketts Wood Drive, Whitelands Avenue and Shire Lane.
The Order is needed because gas service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Toms Lane, Kings Langley) Order No.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.200 Toms Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via Toms Lane, High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street, Gallows Hill Lane, Gallows Hill, Station Road, Primrose Hill and Toms Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Little Green Lane, Croxley Green) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Little Green Lane, Croxley Green from its junction with Links Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via Links Way, Dover Way, Canterbury Way and Little Green Lane.
The Order is needed because telecoms maintenance and repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Long Lane, Heronsgate And Bottom Lane, Sarratt) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Long Lane, Heronsgate from its junction with Stockport Road south eastwards to its junction with the A412 Denham Way/M25 (junction 17) roundabout, a distance of approximately 804m.
An alternative route will be via Long Lane, Heronsgate Road, Shire Lane, Green Street, A404 (Amersham Road/Chenies Road/ Rickmansworth Road/Chorleywood Road) and A412 (Rectory Road/Uxbridge Road/Denham Way).
2. that length of Bottom Lane, Sarratt from its junction with Deadmans Ash Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Bucks Hill, a distance of approximately 1192m.
An alternative route will be via Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt Road, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill and Bucks Hill. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of North Hill, Chorleywood/New Road, Sarratt) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of North Hill, Chorleywood/New Road, Sarratt from its junction with Chorleywood Public Footpath No.002 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via North Hill, A404 (Chenies Road/Rickmansworth Road), Solesbridge Lane, Sarratt Road, Dimmocks Lane, Church Lane and New Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In A4145 Hagden Lane, Watford) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4145 Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with Benskin Road north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Belgrave Avenue, a distance of approximately 336m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A4145 (Hagden Lane/Vicarage Road), A4178 (Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road), A412 Rickmansworth Road, Hagden Lane and A4145 Hagden Lane or via A4145 Hagden Lane, Hagden Lane, A412 Rickmansworth Road, A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/ Farraline Road) and A4145 (Vicarage Road/Hagden Lane).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In A411 Barnet Lane, Borehamwood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Barnet Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with the Furzehill Road/Farriers Way roundabout south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and westwards for a distance of approximately 1176m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A411 Barnet Lane, A1 Barnet Way (Barnet Bypass), A41 Edgware Way (Watford Bypass), A5183 (Elstree Hill South/High Street) and A411 Barnet Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
