What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES Earl’s Court Road
Northbound Directional Road Closure

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.

Earl’s Court Road to be closed northbound at the junction of Pembroke Road to the Junction of Pembroke Square.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 until 18.00hrs on Friday 5th April 2024, with backup dates of Monday 8th April 2024 until Wednesday 10th April 2024, or until the works are completed.

Diverted through traffic may use Earl’s Court Road (Southbound), West Cromwell Road, Warwick Road, Kensington High Street, Earl’s Court Road.

Or Earl’s Court Road (Southbound), West Cromwell Road, Cromwell Road, Gloucester Road, Kensington Road, Kensington High Street, Earl’s Court Road.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
