Otterspool Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (OTTERSPOOL ROAD, ROMILEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Otterspool Road at the junction of Vale Road whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary because works to replace a manhole frame and cover are being, or are proposed to be executed. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 1 night. Alternative routes will be provided via :- Dooley Lane, Marple Road, Offerton Lane, Hall Street, St Marys Way, Newbridge Lane, Stockport Road West, Lower Bents Lane, Higher Bents Lane, Berrycroft Lane, Barrak Hill and vice versa. This Order is to come into operation on the 2 April 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
