What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

The City of Edinburgh Council gives notice that it intends to vary the level of the Bus Lane Charge Notice, this being the charge applied to a bus lane contravention by means of a record of contravention produced by an approved device. The City of Edinburgh Council enforce the contravention of being in a bus lane in accordance with “The Bus Lane Contraventions (Charges, Adjudication and Enforcement) (Scotland) Regulations 2011”.

From Monday 15 April 2024, the amounts payable by motorists/registered keeper issued with a Bus Lane penalty charge will be as specified below.

Bus Lane Charge Notice

The charges payable for a Bus Lane Charge Notice (bus lane ticket) will increase from £60 to £100. The table below shows the amounts due at each stage of the process:
