Dorset , Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Works
What is happening?
DORSET COUNCIL
Temporary Closure of B3164, Broadwindsor
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3164,
BROADWINDSOR between its junction with B3165 and its junction with B3162, a distance of approximately 5430 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 05 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 05 April 2024.
This Order will enable Multevo Ltd, safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance to include kerbing, signposts and iron works.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3165 - B3162.

Temporary Closure of C44, Powerstock
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C44, POWERSTOCK between its junction with Common Lane and its junction with Wytherston Farm Lane, a distance of approximately 1875 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 04 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months.
This Order is required for health and safety reasons due to the highway surface collapsing and subsidence.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
