Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
B2010 Lower Road, East Farleigh, ME15 0JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow for overhead fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 Lower Road, East Farleigh, on or after 21st April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St. Helen’s Montessori School, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street and vice versa.
Benover Road, Yalding, ME18 6JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water connections to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Lees Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 College Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A20 The Broadway, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2015 Bow Road, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road and vice versa.
Brishing Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brishing Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 3rd April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Joy Wood and Green Lane, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brishing Lane, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road, A274 Sutton Road, Wallis Avenue, Bell Road, Brishing Road and vice versa.
Chapel Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Forge Lodge, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Crabtree Farm, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Hill Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road, Chart Corner, Warmlake Road and vice versa.
Church Hill, Boughton Monchelsea (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Barnview. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Hill, Butt Green Lane, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Church Hill and vice versa.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Dean Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Hunton Road, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Lower Road, Station Hill and vice versa.
Dunn Street, Bredhurst, ME7 3NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dunn Street, Bredhurst, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ebenezer Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Hempstead Road, Chapel Lane, Hempstead Valley Drive, Sharsted Way, Wigmore Road, Maidstone Road, The Street, Dunn Street Road and vice versa.
Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new overhead connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 1st April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Brattle Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pinnock Lane, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 High Street, Marden Road, Pagehurst Road, Five Ash Lane, Five Oak Lane and vice versa.
Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 2nd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Plain Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wilden Park Road, Marden Thorn, Pagehurst Road, Five Ash Lane, Five Oak Lane and vice versa.
Hampstead Lane, Yalding, ME18 6AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new development works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hampstead Lane, Yalding, on or after 20th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Blumer Lock and Yalding Train Station. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Hawkenbury Road & New Barn Road, Hawkenbury (40MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out a mandatory speed reduction from 60mph to 40mph will be in place, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road & New Barn Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 18th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
Hawkenbury Road & New Barn Road will have a mandatory speed limit of 40mph in place 55 metres either side of Four Oaks Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Leeds Road, Langley, ME17 3LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow for tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leeds Road, Langley, on or after 7th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Rosmann to Rosewood, between the hours of 08:30 to 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Leeds Road, Upper Street, Penfold Hill, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Romneys Hill, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Leeds Road and vice versa.
Lenham Road, Kingswood, ME17 1LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Kingswood, on or after 21st April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Wilton House, between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road, East Street, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Maidstone Road, Chartway Street and vice versa.
Lucks Lane, Chart Sutton, ME17 3HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Lane, Chart Sutton, on or after 16th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the Flying Jock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane, Lucks Lane and vice versa.
Pye Corner, Ulcombe, ME17 1EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pye Corner, Ulcombe, on or after 16th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Constance Villa. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, Pye Corner and vice versa.
Sheephurst Lane, Marden, TN12 9NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 21st April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 2, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The Street, Bearsted, ME14 4HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Bearsted, on or after 6th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Holly House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Ware Street, Hog Hill, The Landway, A20 Ashford Road, Roundwell, The Street and vice versa.
Vicarage Road, Yalding, ME18 6JH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vicarage Road, Yalding, on or after 3rd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vicarage Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, Lughorse Lane, West Street, Vicarage Road and vice versa.
