Dartford, Gravesham & Sevenoaks Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

DARTFORD, GRAVESHAM & SEVENOAKS AREAS

VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD, GRAVESHAM & SEVENOAKS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway resurfacing and associated preparation, finishing and accommodation works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dartford, Gravesham and Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.

This Order takes effect on or after 5 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. This programme is subject to weather and other factors and may therefore change; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the programmed dates and duration. Changes will be notified locally and signposted on site.

SCHEDULE

DARTFORD

A225 Hawley Road, Dartford

Works starting 3rd June 2024 for 7 nights (excluding weekends) working hours will be between 20:00 and 05:00.

The above road will be closed between the junctions of Church Hill and Myrtle Road.

Oakfield Lane will also be closed between Cedar Road and Hawley Road.

Primary Alternative Route Via – A225 Hawley Road, Parsonage Lane, Darenth Hill, B260 Green Street Green Road, B260 Trolling Down Hill, B260 Green Street Green Road, A225 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street and vice versa.

Oakfield Lane will also be closed between Cedar Road and Hawley Road. A secondary diversion will be in place via – Oakfield Lane, A2018 Old Bexley Road, A2018 Shepherds Lane B2174 Princes Road and vice versa. Vehicles requiring access to Hawley and Sutton-At-Hone, will be required to join the primary diversion at Princes Road/Lowfield Street crossroads.

GRAVESEND

A227 Wrotham Road, Meopham

Works starting 5th April 2024 to 13th April 2024, working hours will be between 20:00 and 05:00.

The above road will be closed between Green Lane and Norwood Lane.

Alternative route via A227 Wrotham Road, Coldharbour Road, Hall Road, New Barn Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Darenth Hill, A225 Main Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 Main Road Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.

SEVENOAKS

Honeypot Lane, Kemsing - Between Noah’s Ark and Watery Lane

16th May 2024 for 5 days

Alternative route via Noah’s Ark, St. Edith’s Road, Heaverham Road and Watery Lane.

Hole Lane, Edenbridge – Between B2026 Main Road and Guildables Lane

20th May 2024 for 5 days

Alternative route via B2026 Main Road, Dairy Lane, Swanesland Road and Guildables Lane.
