Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Bentley Road, Ashford.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bentley Road, Ashford, on or after 15th April 2024, for up to 3 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 107, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bentley Road, Osborne Road, Hunter Avenue, Aylesford Place and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bond Lane, Kingsnorth, TN23 3ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bond Lane, Kingsnorth, on or after 17th April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of West Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bond Lane, Church Hill, Ashford Road, Steeds Lane, Bond Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Hill, Kingsnorth, TN23 3EQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Hill, Kingsnorth, on or after 1st April 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Coach House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Ashford Road, Kingsnorth, Park Farm Estate Roundabout, Kingsnorth, Romney Marsh Road, Kingsnorth, Romney Marsh Road Roundabout, Kingsnorth, Bad Munstereifel Road, Kingsnorth, A2070 J A2042 Join S, Ashford A2070 J A2042 Roundabout, Ashford A2070 from J A2070/B2080 Roundabout to J A2042, Shepway Violet Way, Kingsnorth.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grange Road, Tenterden, TN30 6TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grange Road, Tenterden, on or after 15th April 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Marshalls Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A28 Ashford Road, A28 Silver Hill, A28 Ashford Road, A28 East Cross, A28 High Street, A28 West Cross, Rolvenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Chennell Park Road, Grange Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

High Street, Charing, TN27 0JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Charing, on or after 17th April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Forge House, number 82, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Hill, Charing Hill, Maidstone Road and High Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hythe Road (Service Road), Ashford, TN24 0LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hythe Road (Service Road), Ashford, on or after 15th April 2024, with estimated completion by 30th April 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 410, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via the A292 Hythe Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Maytham Road, Rolvenden.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow new pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Maytham Road, Rolvenden, on or after 15th April 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lowden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Maytham Road, High Street, Tenterden Road, Rolvenden Hill, Rolvenden Road, Smallhythe Road, Peening Quarter Road, Palstre Court Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandyhurst Lane & Maidstone Road, Ashford.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sandyhurst Lane, Ashford and impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on Maidstone Road, Ashford.

Sandyhurst Lane will be closed from 2nd April 2024, with estimated completion by 14th April 2024.

The road will be closed from the junction with Maidstone Road to Tolgate Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The 30 mph speed restiction will be imposed on Maidstone Road from 2nd April 2024, with estimated completion by 7th June 2024.

The 30 mph speed restriction will be in place from the junction with Sandyhurst Lane to the track at the side of The Levels, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These restrictions will be in conjunction with a lane closure on Maidstone Road.

The alternative route is via Sandyhurst Lane, Faversham Road, Trinity Road, Junction 9, M20 Junction 9 To Junction 10 On Slip, M20 Junction 9 From J10 Off Slip, Fougeres Way, Simone Weil Roundabout, Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout, Godinton Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sevington Lane, Willesborough, TN24 0UG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sevington Lane, Willesborough, on or after 16th April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Broadacres, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Shawlands Lane & Wrens Nest Lane, High Halden.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Shawlands Lane & Wrens Nest Lane, High Halden, from 15th April 2024, with estimated completion by 14th July 2024, or until the works have been completed.

Shawlands Lane will be closed from 15th April 2024, with estimated completion by 19th May 2024.

The road will be closed from Ashford Road to Thurstons Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Wrens Nest Lane will be closed from 13th May 2024, with estimated completion by 14th July 2024.

The road will be closed from Shawlands Lane to Thurstons Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Thurstons Lane, High Halden Lane, Biddenden Road, Oak Grove Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
