Witham, Wethersfield, Feering, and Braintree - Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(B1389 Newland Street, Witham) (Temporary Suspension of Parking Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under S16(A-C) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily suspend the existing Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 Hour No Return Within 3 Hours restrictions on B1389 Newland Street, Witham in the District of Braintree. NORTHWEST SIDE: From a point in line with the south-western property boundary of No.78 Newland Street, southwest to a point in line with the north-eastern property boundary of No.100 Newland Street, approximately 100 metres.

The parking restrictions will be suspended on Tuesday 26 March 2024, Tuesday 02 April 2024, and Tuesday 09 April 2024 between the hours of 6am to 4pm while the market is in operation. The parking restrictions will be reinstated for all other days of the week or where the market is not in operation.

Tile reference TL820 142 of The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 shall be temporarily varied as detailed above. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

This order is required for the safety of the public whilst the market is in operation and comes into effect on 26 March 2024, as and when suitable traffic management measures are in place on site and may continue in force if extended by the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport.

(Rotten End, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rotten End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 300m south west of the junction with Mumfords Hill for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th April 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (A5009-ESS-BC208-02 - County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole installation works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.

An alternative route is available via Mumfords Hill, Beazley End, Codham Mill Lane, Codhams Lane, Braintree Road and vice versa (with access only into Water Hall Lane and Rotten End).

The Order will come into effect on 28th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Beazley End, Wethersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beazley End, Wethersfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 120m south of its junction with Parkhall Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310749783 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Parkhall Road, Church Road, The Street, Braintree Road, Gosfield Road, High Garrett, Broad Road, Church Lane and vice versa (with access only into Bovingdon Road and Beazley End).

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Coggeshall Road, Feering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Feering in the District of Braintree, from its junction with The Green for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010754931 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via London Road, A12, A120, Colchester Road and vice versa (with access only into Feering Road and Coggeshall Road).

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Street, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of High Street, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 75m north east of its junction with St Michaels Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in High Street, Braintree in the District of Braintree from its junction with Great Square, south west to its junction with St Michaels Road as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree) (One Way) Order 2020' for the duration of the above closure for access only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 3rd April 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010710310 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Fairfield Road, Victoria Street, Railway Street, South Street, St Michaels Lane and vice versa (with access only into High Street, Great Square and Market Place).

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
