What is happening?

(VARIOUS ROADS, BEDMINSTER, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY EXEMPT VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Jasper Street which extends from the common boundary line of No. 31 and No. 33 Jasper Street to its closed end;
2. to close, temporarily, to vehicles exempted from the existing prohibition of driving that length of Fraser Street which extends from Windmill Hill eastwards for 171 metres; and
3. to close, temporarily, to vehicles and vehicles exempted from the existing prohibition of driving that length of Windmill Close which extends from Whitehouse Lane to its closed end.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 26th March 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the times and dates specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice).

3. Windmill Close – from 8.00 a.m. on 1st April 2024 to 6.00 p.m. on 5th April 2024

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. Thomas Street which extends from St. Thomas Street East to Victoria Street; and
2. to close, temporarily to pedestrians that length of Long Row which extends from St. Thomas Street to Victoria Street.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles or pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from those closed lengths of road and footway as specified above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 28th March 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the times and dates specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice).

St. Thomas Street – on multiple occasions and will be of 1 to 2 days duration for each closure within the period between 28th March 2024 and 10th July 2025

(VARIOUS ROADS, ASHTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle waiting in the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice (subject to specified exemptions).
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from those closed lengths of roads.
The Order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public and to allow the safe movement of pedestrians during Ashton Gate Stadium events taking place on or in the vicinity of the roads. The Order becomes operative from 29th March 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by events (the restrictions will be imposed on 30th March 2024, 8th June 2024, 9th June 2024, 22nd June 2024, 23rd June 2024 and on any subsequent dates when events are held at the stadium).

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 572, ASHTON, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of public right of way as specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice.
The Order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public and to allow the safe movement of pedestrians during Ashton Gate Stadium events taking place on or in the vicinity of the public right of way. The Order becomes operative from 29th March 2024 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by events (the closure will take place on 30th March 2024, 8th June 2024, 9th June 2024, 22nd June 2024, 23rd June 2024 and on any subsequent dates when events are held at the stadium).
