The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.*) Order 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders would be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which would be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations:
4 South Road HA8 (in place of permit holders only parking), 10 Upway N12, 79 Layfield Crescent NW4 (by converting a resident permit holders only parking bay), 40/41 Longberrys NW2 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 47 Cranbrook Road EN4 (by converting a general disabled permit holders only parking bay), Dryfield Road HA8 access road (adjacent to No. 41 Dryfield Road), 9 Ramsden Road N11, 23 Highfield Avenue NW11 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 24 Jackson Road EN4, 47 Falkland Avenue N11, opposite 12-14 Cattley Close EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), The Potteries, Barnet Lane EN5 (by converting a length of 10am to 11pm Match Day waiting restriction), 6/8 Stockton Gardens NW7, 30 Hillcrest Avenue NW11, 59 Westmere Drive NW7, 102 Elmshurst Crescent N2, 1 New Trinity Road N2, 12 Huntingdon Road N2 (by converting a length of permit holders only parking bay), 84 Brent Terrace NW2 (by converting a general disabled permit holders only parking bay), Prospect Place NW2, opposite Prospect Road (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 63 Hertford Road EN4, 30 Whitings Road EN5 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 37 Algernon Road NW4 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 74/96 Goldsmith Avenue NW9, 58 Lynton Avenue NW9, Colin Court, Hillfield Avenue NW9, Cedar Avenue EN4, adjacent to No.10 Rosslyn Avenue, opposite 62 Ramillies Road NW7 (2 wheel footway parking), 15 Sebright Road EN5, 74 Worcester Crescent NW7, 15/17 Denman Drive North NW11, 33 Gainsborough Gardens NW11 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), opposite 10 The Meads HA8, Broadhead Strand NW9, opposite Ivory Court (in place of permit holders only parking), 221 Oakleigh Road North N20, 13-18 Simmons Close N20, and 29 Horsecroft Road HA8 (by converting a general disabled permit holders only parking bay).
The above Orders would also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 28 St Stephens Road EN5, 40 Alexandra Road NW4, 4 Green Road N20, 6 Ridge Hill NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 8 Limes Avenue NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only), 11 Birley Road N20 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 15 Hamilton Road NW11, 37 Churchfield Avenue N12 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 84 Hamilton Road N2, 88 to 98 Cressingham Road HA8 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), and 1 to 2 Esmund Court, Prospect Road EN5.
Additionally, the Orders would also introduce two general disabled permit holder only parking bays on Algernon Road NW4, adjacent to No. 42 Station Road, would be converted on general disabled permit holder only maximum stay 3 hours parking bays.
In order to help maximise local parking provision it is also proposed to remove a length of 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday waiting restriction on Alexandra Road NW4, adjacent to no. 93 Bell Lane.
In order to effectively manage road safety in the vicinity of local schools, two School Keep Clear road markings operational Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm, would be introduced on Moxon Street EN5, in the vicinity of no. 50 Moxon Street.
In order to maintain road safety and traffic movement, deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the above Orders would also be to introduce new lengths of 'At any time' waiting restrictions at the following locations:
(a) Certain lengths of Cromwell Close N2, all sides, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(a) Certain lengths of East End Road N2, south-west side, near its junction with Cromwell Close, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(c) At the junction of East End Road and Cromwell Close N3, by converting existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(d) At the junction of Deansbrook Road and Burnt Oak Broadway HA8, by converting existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(e) At the junction of Wise Lane and Featherstone Road NW7, by converting existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(f) At the junction of Latimer Road and Clifford Road EN5.
(g) At the junction of Milton Avenue and Vale Drive EN5, by converting existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(h) Certain lengths of Milton Avenue EN5, south side, near its junction with Vale Drive, by converting lengths of existing single yellow line waiting restriction.
(i) At the junction of Engel Park and Bittacy Rise NW7, in place of existing permit holders only parking.
(j) Certain lengths of Edgeworth Close NW4, north and south sides. (k) Certain lengths of Russell Lane N20, both sides, between its junctions with Magdalene Gardens and Brunswick Park Road.
(l) At the junction of Russell Lane and Thorndene Avenue N20. (m) At the junction of Oakwood Road and Northway NW11. (n) Certain lengths of The Bishops Avenue N2, both sides, between its junctions with Hampstead Lane and Arden Court Gardens. (o) Certain lengths of Canons Close N2, both sides, at its junction with The Bishops Avenue. (p) A length of South Road HA8, north-east side, in the vicinity of no. 3 South Road. The Order would also formalise existing 'At any time' double yellow line waiting restriction on the both sides of The Bishops Avenue N2, between its junctions with Hampstead Lane and Arden Court Gardens. In order to accommodate the introduction of 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossovers to enable access to off-street parking facilities, the general effect of the Orders would also be to remove existing parking spaces and replace with yellow line waiting restrictions outside the locations as follows:

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR552, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
