What is happening?
Cobham as extends from its junction with (X16051) Icklingham Road to its junction with (D6880) Grenville Close. Alternative Route: Leigh Hill Road, (A245) Stoke Road, (A245) Mill Road, (A245) River Hill, (A245) High Street, (A245) Between Streets, (A307) Portsmouth Road, Fairmile Lane, and Leigh Hill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Quinton Road (D6810) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Quinton Road (D6810) Thames Ditton. This Order is required to facilitate utility works across the full width of the road for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. There is no alternative route for this closure.
New Road (A248) Chilworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) New Road (A248) Chilworth that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Chilworth Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres on either side; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council New Road (A248) Chilworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

The Order is required to facilitate auxiliary maintenance works, for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
The Street (C40) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (C40) West Horsley as extends from its junction with (C40) Ripley Lane to its junction at the roundabout with (A246) Epsom Road. Alternative Route: The Street, East Lane, (B2039) Ockham Road North, (B2039) Ockham Road South, (A246) Guildford Road, and (A246) Epsom Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate developmental works for, or on behalf of Brookworth Homes. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for
pedestrians and cyclists.
Yew Tree Drive (D4025) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Yew Tree Drive (D4025) Guildford as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.72 and No.74 Yew Tree Drive to a point in line with the common boundary between No.82 and No.84 Yew Tree Drive.
Alternative Route: Yew Tree Drive. This Order is required to facilitate new mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
London Road (A30) Virginia Water Temporary Speed Limit Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of (b) the north-eastbound carriageway of London Road (A30) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (X96155) Meadow Road to its junction with (B389) Christchurch Road; and (c) the south-westbound carriageway of London Road (A30) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (B389) Christchurch Road to its junction with (X96155) Meadow Road; and (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council The London Traffic (40M.P.H Speed Limit) (No.1) Regulations 159 (Amendment) Order 2023” insofar as affects the length of road described in (b) and (c) of this Notice. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection highway maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 months, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 20 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Belgrave Road (D6235) Sunbury On Thames and Gaston Way (D6268) Shepperton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Belgrave Road (D6235) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (D6235) Belgrave Crescent to its junction with (D6236) Batavia Road. Alternative Route: Belgrave Road, Kempton Avenue, (A308) Staines Road East, and Batavia Road, or this route in reverse. (b) Gaston Way (D6268) Shepperton as extends from its junction with (D6268) Catlin Crescent to its junction with (D3366) Service Road Fronting No.77 to No.99 Gaston Bridge Road. Alternative Route: Govett Avenue, (B3366) Green Lane, (A244) Gaston Bridge Road, and Service Road Fronting No.77 to No.99 Gaston Bridge Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover
replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm for part (a) and 10am and 3pm for part (b), during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Footpath No.66. (Egham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 14 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath No.66 (Egham) crossing the bridge from point A (Grid ref:502130 171843) to point B (Grid ref:502148 181831) marked by a solid bold line on plan no. 3/1/88/H43.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to damage to the bridge.
The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 18 March 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route is as follows from point A – Head West along Footpath 66 for approximately 300 metres to footpath to Egham 83, head south until you reach the A30 (Windsor Road) and cross at the traffic lights at Runnymede Junction. Head East under the underpass and continue along The Glanty/A308 The Causeway to River Park Avenue. Head North onto footpath 66 Egham then head West for approximately 650 metres to point B. This route is the opposite in reverse.
‘The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 66 (Egham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024’ was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) & 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Public Footpath 30 (Chertsey) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 March 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 30 (Chertsey) from point A (Grid ref: 502520 163069) in a north-easterly direction for approximately 350 metres to point B (Grid ref: 502691 163307) marked by a solid bold line on plan 3/1/87/H41.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to building works. The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 1 April 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier.
That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route is as follows from point A: Head south-west along Public Footpath No.30 (Chertsey) for approximately 137 metres, then head north-west along Public Footpath No.21 (Chertsey) until the footpath meets Brox Road. Head north-east along Brox Road for approximately 682 metres then head south-east along Public Footpath No.22 (Chertsey) for approximately 270 metres, then head in a southwesterly direction on Public Footpath No.30 (Chertsey) for 260 metres to point B.
The alternative route for traffic from point B will be the reverse of the route described above.
‘The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 30 (Chertsey) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024’ will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
