What is happening?

THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a)
B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO 23-174) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

 A section of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD (NORTHBOUND) - Part Length from the junction roundabout A section of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD (NORTHBOUND) - Part Length from the junction roundabout of BRADLEY CROSSROADS ROUNDABOUT heading in a northerly direction to the junction of WELBECK ROAD.
 
Alternative route: B1444 Little Coates Road, Cambridge Road, Westward Ho, A1243 Bargate A46 Laceby Road. This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North East Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as maintenance works involving the reconstruction of the footways, carriageway resurfacing and road marking and are to be delivered in phases between the dates of 20th March and 18th May 2024.


Phase one - Footway renewal between Bradley Crossroads roundabout and St Michael’s Road (Western side)
Footway reconstruction works and a oneway system are scheduled to take place between 20th March 2024 and 20th April 2024 on the following:
 
A section of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD (PART LENGTH) - from the roundabout junction of BRADLEY CROSSROADS heading in a northerly direction to the junction of ST MICHAELS ROAD.
 
A section of BROCKLESBY ROAD (PART LENGTH) - from the junction of B1444 Little Coates Road heading in an easterly direction to the property boundary of 37 BROCKLESBY ROAD, for a distance of 30 metres.
 
A section of ST MICHAEL’S ROAD - (PART LENGTH) 
- from the junction of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD heading in a westerly direction to the property boundary of LITTLE COATES ROAD MEDICAL SURGERY for a distance of 30 metres.

Phase two - Footway renewal between Welbeck Road and Bradley Crossroads roundabout (Eastern side) Footway reconstruction works and a oneway system are scheduled to take place between 20th April 2024 and 16th May 2024 on the following:

 A section of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD (SOUTHBOUND) - A section of B1444 LTTLE COATES ROAD (NORTHBOUND)- Part Length from the roundabout junction of BRADLEY CROSSROADS heading in a northerly direction to the junction of WELBECK ROAD.
 
Alternative route: A46 Laceby Road, A1243 Bargate, Westward Ho, Cambridge Road, B1444 Little Coates Road.

 A section of BROCKLESBY ROAD (PART LENGTH) - from the junction of B1444 Little Coates Road heading in an easterly direction to the property boundary of 37 BROCKLESBY ROAD, for a distance of 30 metres.

Phase three - Carriageway resurfacing and road marking
Works are scheduled to take place between 16th May 2024 and 18th May 2024 as an overnight closure between 9pm and 5am on the following section of LITTLECOATES ROAD;
 
A section of B1444 LITTLE COATES ROAD (NORTHBOUND)- Part Length from the junction roundabout of BRADLEY CROSSROADS ROUNDABOUT heading in a northerly direction to the junction of WELBECK ROAD.

 Alternative route: B1444 Little Coates Road, Cambridge Road, Westward Ho, A1243 Bargate A46 Laceby Road.
The Order came into operation on Wednesday, 20 March 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday, 18 May 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.
