What is happening?

The Surrey County Council  Three Gates Lane (D5528) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 
On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Three Gates Lane (D5528) Haslemere.Alternative Route: (D5528) Clammer Hill Road, (D5528) The Mount, and (A286) Grayswood Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains connection and renewal works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am and 1pm Saturday and Sunday, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.  Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024  On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order, which will commence on 08 April 2024 for a period of 18 months and is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: carriageway/footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works. For parts (a and b) of the schedule, these works will be carried out over 4 days and for part (c) these works will be carried out over 4 nights. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.  Schedule That length of Lodge Hill Road (D5300) Lower Bourne as extends from its junction with (A287) Frensham Road to its junction with (X84066) Dene Lane. Alternative Route: Lodge Hill Road,Tilford Road, Great Austins, Old Farnham Lane, and (A287) Frensham Road, or this route in reverse. (b) That length of Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Lower Bourne as extends from its junction with (A287) Frensham Road to its junction with (D5311) Longdown Road. Alternative Route: (A287) Frensham Road, (B3384) Ridgway Road, (B3384) Shortheath Road, and Burnt Hill Road, or this route in reverse. (c) That length of Frensham Road (A287) Lower Bourne as extends from its junction with (D5300) Burnt Hill Road and (D5300) Lodge Hill Road to its junction with (D109) Old Frensham Road. Alternative Route: (1) (A287) Frensham Road, (A287) Farnham Road, (A287) Tilford Road, (A333) Portsmouth Road, (A3) Hindhead Tunnel Road, (A3) Portsmouth Road, (A3) Milford By-pass, (A283) Elstead Road Roundabout, (A3) Milford By-pass, (A3) Guildford and Godalming By-pass, (B3000) Puttenham Heath Road, (B3000) Hook Lane, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, (A31) Farnham By-pass, (B3001) Station Hill, Tilford Road, Great Austins, Old Farnham Lane, and (A287) Frensham Road; (2) (A287) Frensham Road, Old Farnham Lane, Great Austins, Tilford Road, (B3001) Station Hill, (A31) Farnham By-pass, (A31) Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Hogs Back, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (B3000) Hook Lane, (B3000) Puttenham Heath Road, (A3) Guildford and Godalming By-pass, (A3) Milford By-pass, (A283) Elstead Road Roundabout, (A3) Milford By-pass, (A3) Portsmouth Road, (A3) Hindhead Tunnel Road, (D5507) Hazel Grove, (A333) Portsmouth Road, (A287) Tilford Road, (A287) Farnham Road, and (A287) Frensham Road.  Hale House Lane (D127) Churt Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024  Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hale House Lane (D127) Churt. Alternative Route: Green Cross Lane, Green Lane, (A287) Churt Road, and (A287) Crossways, or this route in reverse.This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Map Group (UK). These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
