Skipton Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(A56 SKIPTON ROAD, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A56 Skipton Road, Colne (Northbound carriageway only) from its junction with A6068 Windsor Street for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours until 1800 hours on Sunday 7th April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
A6068 Byron Road – A6068 Keighley Road – North Yorkshire – A56 Skipton Road – A56 Colne Road – A56 Skipton New Road – A56 Skipton.
5. An alternative route for local busses affected by the closure is via:-
A6068 Windsor Street – Langroyd Road – Regent Avenue – A56 Skipton.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to reset frame and cover in the carriageway to be carried out.
