What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LORD STREET, HODDESDON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Lord Street, Hoddesdon from a
point 292m south west of its junction with Box Lane south westwards and
north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Lord Street, Taverners Way, Pauls Lane,
Amwell Street, A1170 Amwell Street, B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road),
A414 London Road, Mangrove Road, Mangrove Lane, Goose Green Lord
Street and Lord Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS
IN HERTINGFORDBURY, LETTY GREEN AND COLE GREEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit
all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”),
except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on
both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of St Marys Lane, Hertingfordbury from its southernmost
junction with Hertingfordbury Road south eastwards, south westwards and
south eastwards to its junction with B158 Lower Hatfield Road, a distance
of approximately 1412m.
An alternative route will be via Hertingfordbury Road, A414 (Hertingfordbury
Road/ Gascoyne Way) and B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane/Horns
Mill Road/Lower Hatfield Road).
2. that length of Station Road, Letty Green from its junction with Letty Green
north westwards to its junction with Cole Green, a distance of approximately
269m.
An alternative route will be via Letty Green, Station Road, B158 (Lower Hatfield
Road/Horns Mill Road/Bullocks Lane/Pegs Lane/Hale Road), A414 (Gascoyne
Way/Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass), Hertingfordbury Road, The Old
Coach Road and Cole Green.
ADDITIONALLY the existing 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on Birchall Lane/
The Old Coach Road, Cole Green from its junction with the A414 Cole Green
Bypass/B195 Birchall Lane roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards
to its junction with Hertingfordbury Road, a distance of approximately 2530m
will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to use this length of roads,
whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RAFFIN GREEN LANE, DATCHWORTH)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Raffin Green Lane, Datchworth from a
point 152m south west of its junction with A602 Hooks Cross south westwards
for a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Raffin Green Lane, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall
Way), Bragbury Lane, Bury Lane and Raffin Green Lane.
The Order is needed because bridge maintenance works are proposed to be
executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE A414 WESTBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING
ONTO B181 ROYDON ROAD, STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the A414 westbound slip road leading onto B181
Roydon Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with the westbound
carriageway of A414 Eastwick Road south westwards to its junction with B181
Roydon Road, a distance of approximately 656m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A414 Eastwick Road and B181 (Station Road/
High Street/Roydon Road).
The Order is needed because structure maintenance works are proposed
to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS
IN BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on
the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from
the eastbound carriageway of B194 New Nazeing Road into Old Nazeing
Road, Broxbourne, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via B194 New Nazeing Road and Old Nazeing Road.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from
Old Nazeing Road into the eastbound carriageway of B194 New Nazeing Road,
Broxbourne, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via Old Nazeing Road and B194 New Nazeing Road.
3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from the
westbound carriageway of B194 New Nazeing Road into Old Nazeing Road,
Broxbourne, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via B194 New Nazeing Road, A1170 High Road,
the Bell Lane roundabout, A1170 High Road, B194 New Nazeing Road and
Old Nazeing Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 April 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect
at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C95 (UNNAMED ROAD), STANDON)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of C95 (unnamed road), Standon from
a point 265m north east of its junction with Old Hall Green south eastwards
and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”),
except for access.
An alternative route will be via C95 (unnamed road), Mill Lane, Munden
Road, Whitehill, Potters Green, Standon Green End, Ermine Street and C95
(unnamed road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 March 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only
take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HERTINGFORDBURY ROAD, HERTFORD
AND ST MARYS LANE, HERTINGFORDBURY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. that length of Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its southernmost junction
with St Marys Lane south westwards and north westwards for a distance
of approximately 89m.
An alternative route will be via St Marys Lane and Hertingfordbury Road.
2. that length of St Marys Lane, Hertingfordbury from its southernmost junction
with Hertingfordbury Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately
294m.
An alternative route will be via St Marys Lane, Hertingfordbury Road, A414
(Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks
Lane/Horns Mill Road) and St Marys Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STOCKINGS LANE, LITTLE BERKHAMSTED)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Stockings Lane, Little Berkhamsted
from its junction with Little Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.006 south
westwards for a distance of approximately 26m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 March 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take
effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHARF ROAD, WORMLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Wharf Road, Wormley from its
junction with Westlea Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately
230m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being
carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will
be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 March 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take
effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROUCH LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all
vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a
point 14m north west of its junction with Rosebury Close south eastwards
for a distance of approximately 31m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Newgatestreet Road,
Hammondstreet Road, Argent Road and Crouch Lane or via Crouch Lane,
Newgatestreet Road, St James Road, Rags Lane and Crouch Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed
on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 March 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take
effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (BRITANNIA ROAD AND BEATTY ROAD,
WALTHAM CROSS) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve
road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce
new waiting restrictions in parts of Waltham Cross as specified in the Schedule
to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may
be viewed from 21 March 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception,
Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, or on-line

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (NORTH ROAD, HERTFORD)
(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order
under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce waiting restrictions
on parts of North Road, Hertford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The Order will come into effect on Monday 25 March 2024.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are held on deposit
and may be viewed from 21 March 2024 to 2 May 2024 during office hours
at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane,

relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice apply
to the High Court for this purpose.
SCHEDULE: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below
and as set out in the Order and scheme plan:
Parts of North Road North Road, between a point 30.5 metres north of the
northernmost flank wall of No. 148 North Road to a point 4 metres south
of the southern flank wall of No. 144 North Road.
