What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(TANSHELF DRIVE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 72) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a new water supply connection to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tanshelf Drive, Pontefract for approximately 3.8 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tanshelf Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Access maintained for residents.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th March 2024 to 29th March 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WATER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 65) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a bridge inspection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Water Lane, Pontefract, at the railway bridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Water Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ferrybridge Road, Box Lane, Bondgate, Water Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th March 2024 from 10.00 hours to 16.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BACK BANK STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 71) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a new water supply to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Bank Street, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Bank Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Carlton Street, Bank Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th March 2024 at 08.00 hours to 29th March 2024 at 20.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BACK BANK STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 82) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for disconnecting & laying new main & 9 services to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Bank Street, Castleford for approximately 29 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Bank Street, Castleford.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th April 2024 to 18th April 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 80) 2024 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace defective tarmac and manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: South Baileygate Industrial Estate, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of South Baileygate Industrial Estate, Pontefract.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th April 2024 at 21.30 hours to 9th April 2024 at 01.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WHITWOOD COMMON LANE, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 81) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for safe access of joint box & cabling work to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Whitwood Common Lane, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Whitwood Common Lane, Castleford.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Whitwood Common Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th April 2024 at 21.00 hours to 12th April 2024 at 06.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(FIELD LANE, SOUTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 84) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install new layby to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Field Lane, South Elmsall for approximately 250 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Field Lane, South Elmsall.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Field Lane, B6474 Mill Lane, Dale Lane, A638 Doncaster Road, Field Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th April 2024 to 24th April 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
