What is happening?
NORTH NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
(VARIOUS ROADS, WELLINGBOROUGH) (RESTRICTED ROADS) (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council have
made an Order under Sections, 82, 83, 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) to revoke the existing 40 mph
speed limit order on the sections of roads specified in the Schedule below.
Under the provisions of Section 82(2) of the 1984 Act, the roads specified
in the schedule below shall be a restricted road for the purposes of Section
81 of that Act.
A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot,
Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date
specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700. A copy of the Order
can also be obtained on request by emailing NNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions
contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred
by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any
requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been
complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the
date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
The Order will become effective on 25th March 2024.

1. B573 The Ridge, Great Doddington – from a point 130 metres
south-west of Millers Lane to its junction with Doddington Road,
Wellingborough.
2. B573 Doddington Road, Wellingborough – from its junction with
The Ridge, Great Doddington to a point 65 metres north of its junction
with Turnells Mill Lane.
3. Millers Lane, Wellingborough – For its entire length.
