Haworth Old Road, Hebden Bridge - Residents Parking Permits Order
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE
(HAWORTH OLD ROAD, HEBDEN BRIDGE)
TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Calderdale (‘the Council’) under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) made the above Order on 20 March 2024, the effect of which is to reproduce and continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the Borough Council of Calderdale (Haworth Old Road, Hebden Bridge) Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2022 (‘the Experimental Order’). The Order will permanently continue in force the following restrictions on roads in Hebden Bridge that were introduced by the Experimental Order:
A residents permit parking place on Haworth Old Road, Hebden bridge from its junction with Keighley Road for a distance of approximately 1.67 miles in a northerly direction. Save in a limited number of exceptions specified in the Order, no vehicle shall be allowed to park on that length of road unless a valid permit is properly displayed. Residents of Haworth Old Road or Small Shaw Lane will be entitled to apply for up to three permits.
The Order comes into force on 22 March 2024.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including the plan showing the affected roads and the statement of reasons for the Experimental Order, are available for inspection at Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. Alternatively copies of the documents can be viewed on the Council’s website at https://new.calderdale.gov.uk/streets-and-transport/ transport-initiatives/tro/current-tro/haworth-old-roadpermit-parking or can be made available on request via email proposedtro@calderdale.gov.uk or telephone 01422 288001 or 288002.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made (i.e. from 20 March 2024), apply to the High Court for that purpose.
