Southend-on-Sea - Variation of Parking Charges
What is happening?
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE OF VARIATION OF PARKING CHARGES (ON STREET AND OFF STREET) 2024
1) The Southend-on-Sea City Council hereby gives notice:
a) under section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of a variation to the charges for on-street parking in The Southend Borough Council (Waiting, Loading and Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Consolidation) Order 2021 (as amended) hereinafter referred to as the "Consolidation Order 2021", as set out in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
b) under section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of a variation to the charges for off-street parking places in The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (as amended) hereinafter referred to as the "Consolidation Order 2022", as set out in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
2) The new charges as indicated herein will take effect on 22nd April 2024.
3) The effect of the variation is:
a) replace the charges for On-Street parking as set out in Schedule 1(a) to the corresponding charges set out in Schedule 1(b) to this Notice
b) replace the charges for Off-Street car parks as set out in Schedule 2(a) to the corresponding charges set out in Schedule 2(b) to this Notice
