The Newham (Stratford North West) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2010) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ('the Council') proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:-
(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from entering into or proceeding in a new shared cycle and pedestrian facility located between the eastern extent of Walnut Gardens and the western extent of Wingfield Road. Enforcement will be via CCTV. Exemptions from the road closure apply to: (a) pedal cycles; (b) refuse collection vehicles; and (c) vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes;
(b) the removal of one permit holder parking bay from outside No. 13 Walnut Gardens, the parking bay will be relocated to (c) below;
(c) to extend the length of permit holder parking places on the west side of the north to south arm of Cherry Tree Road, so it extends from a point 5 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Wingfield Road to a point 4.5 metres south of the northern kerb-line of the east to west arm of Cherry Tree Road; and
(d) the conversion of waiting restrictions operating Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm to waiting and loading restrictions operating at any time in;
(i) Cherry Tree Road, the west side, from its junction with Wingfield Road, southward for a distance of 5 metres;
(ii) Hazel Road, the east side, from the southern kerb-line of Walnut Gardens southward for a distance of 5 metres;
(iii) Walnut Gardens, from the eastern kerb-line of Hazel Road eastward then northward for the full extent of its eastern extremity; and
(iv) Wingfield Road, from its junction with Cherry Tree Road for the full extent of its western extremity.
3. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council proposes to convert a length of footway between Walnut Gardens and Wingfield Road into a segregated cycle track for use by cyclists between the eastern extent of Walnut Gardens and the western extent of Wingfield Road. This will be a segregated two-way cycle track, comprising a 3.2 metre-wide corridor.
4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders and shared cycle facility can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by telephoning 020 3373 6415, by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, or inspected (by prior appointment - please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders and cycle track must be made in writing and received by 10 April 2024. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to the Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London, E16 2QU or by email to traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.
7. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or e-mail sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
