NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Earlsway,
Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has
made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily
prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Earlsway, Macclesfield – For the
full extent.
For specific dates and diversions please visit one.network
This order will come into operation on Monday 25 March 2024
and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time
as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the
highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be
completed by Monday 31 March 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
TEMPORARY PROHIBITITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 41 (Part Of) In the Parish of
Adlington
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14
(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended
by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that
the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the
effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians
on the following:
That Public Footpath Adlington (part of) No41, which
commences at the junction with Adlington FP40 at OS grid
reference SJ9088 8092 and runs in a generally south easterly
direction to the A523 at OS grid reference SJ 9120 8067.
The closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger
to the public due to a damaged and unsafe bridge.
This notice continues the restriction that come into force on
26 January 2024 and will continue in force for a period not
exceeding 6 months, or until the works required to repair the
bridge are completed, whichever is the earlier.
An alternative route is available via the highway and
PROW network.
