LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
The Merton (Bus Priority) (No. ») Traffic Order 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, proposed to make the above- mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the "Bus Priority" Order would be to:-
(a) revoke the Merton (Bus Priority) (No. 2) Traffic Order 2017 and the Merton (Bus Priority) (No. 2) (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 2022 and re-enact their provisions;
(b) amend the description of the north-westbound bus lane in Upper Green East, Mitcham, so that it better reflects the current layout on site.
3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.
4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ECC/ BUS, no later than 5 April 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (COMMONSIDE EAST. MITCHAM)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate overhead telecommunication works in Commonside East, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in Commonside East, both sides, from the common boundary of Nos. 395 and 397 Commonside East and the common boundary of Nos. 405 and 407 Commonside East
3. Any length of designated parking place situated in the length of Commonside East specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
7. The Order would come into force on Wednesday 17 April 2024 and it is anticipated that works would be completed the same day. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (THE BROADWAY. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 21 ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works at No. 247 The Broadway, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in The Broadway.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in The Broadway, both sides, between the eastern boundary of No. 241 The Broadway and a point 7.9 metres west of the western boundary of No. 244 The Broadway.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency;
(d) on Sundays, to any vehicles used by parishioners attending a Sunday service at Holy Trinity Church, The Broadway.
5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. The Order would come into operation on Sunday 31st March 2024 and would remain in force until 23rd June 2024.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(11
RUTLAND DRIVE. SM4 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, hereby give notice that to facilitate water pipe works in Epsom Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Rutland Drive.
2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in a south-westward direction in Epsom Road to turn left into Rutland Drive.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the banned turn should proceed by way of Epsom Road, Elm Road West and Litchfield Avenue.
6. The Order will come into force on Monday 18th March 2024 and it is expected that the works will be completed by 22nd March 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (MADEIRA ROAD. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate highway improvement works in Madeira Road at its junction with Commonside West, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Madeira Road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:
(a) proceed in Madeira Road, from its junction with Commonside West eastward for a distance of 60 metres;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Cricket Green, London Road, Lower Green West, London Road, Raleigh Gardens, Upper Green West, Upper Green East and Commonside West or by way of Commonside West, Upper Green East, London Road and Cricket Green.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order would come into operation on Tuesday 2nd April 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 30th April 2024. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.
