(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (ORDER) 2018 AMENDMENT No. 1
INTRODUCTION OF PARKING CHARGES IN YORKTOWN CAR PARK, SULLIVAN ROAD, CAMBERELY SURREY ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Surrey Heath Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 33, 35 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 (as amended by the Parking Act 1989) and of all other enabling powers, with the consent of Surrey County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the Act of 1984 and after consulting the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce new parking charges in Yorktown car park, Sullivan Road, Camberley details of which are shown in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 attached to this Notice.
A copy of Amendment 1 to the 2018 Order and Statement of Reasons may be inspected during normal office hours at Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley. These documents can also be viewed on the Council’s Website at www.surreyheath.gov.uk/council/PublicNotices.

If you wish to object to the proposal, you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Parking Services Manager at Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3HD or via email to parking.services@surreyheath.gov.uk by no later than 5.00pm on 10th March 2024.
STATEMENT OF REASONS
The Council proposes to amend the Borough of Surrey Heath (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2018 to:
Introduce parking charges on Yorktown car park, Sullivan Road, Camberley (including the 1hr bays which will now be chargeable) Surrey as shown in Schedule 1, shown below, to the above Order with effect from the 1st of April 2024.
The reason for these changes is to increase churn to ensure parking is available at all times for customers, to improve access to parking spaces and to ensure the safety of the car park.
