(Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.16) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To Revoke the existing 'Disabled Badge Holders Only' bay on the following road in the District of Maldon as specified:
Road - Description
Keats Close, Maldon - From a point approximately 15.5 metres northwest of its junction with Wordsworth Avenue, southwest for a distance of approximately 5.3 metres. Map Tile: TL850 057 Revision 0 to Revision 1
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting tile number TL850 057 Revision 0 to Revision 1
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 22 March 2024

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(America Street, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of America Street, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Wantz Road to its end a distance of approximately 140m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th April 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (H8007MAZ-SD001/5200 - LIGHTSPEED NETWORKS LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by LIGHTSPEED NETWORKS LTD.
No alternative route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Blind Lane/Wash Lane, Goldhanger) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Wash Lane, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 1065m south of its junction with Church Lane for a distance of approximately 275m in a south easterly then south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Blind Lane, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Wash Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 10th April 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF0KH23S/BC008WF0KH23S01 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while hoist works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Blind Lane, Maldon Road, Goldhanger Road, Chigborough Road, Church Lane, Wash Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Broad Street Green Road, Great Totham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Broad Street Green Road, Great Totham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 475m north west of its junction with Swifts Boulevard for a distance of approximately 160m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30082234060 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Broad Street Green Road, Colchester Road, Goldhanger Road, Maldon Road, Church Street, South Street, Kelvedon Road, Oxley Hill, D'arcy Road, Factory Hill, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Meadway, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Meadway, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 50m southwest of its junction with Saxon Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M101708A - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while leak repair works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
No alternative route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tiptree Road, Great Braxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tiptree Road, Great Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 150m south west of its junction with Braxted Park Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30009468129 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Braxted Park Road, Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Mountains Road and vice versa (with access only into Beacons Lane, Braxted Road and Tiptree Road).
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
