Essex County Council
(Footpath 83, Benfleet) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close footpath 83, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point 193 metres from Underhill Road, southeast for approximately 52 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21 March 2024 for 6 months, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing and is required for the safety of the public due to the bridge being undermined.
Golf course have provided an alternative route across land in their ownership that runs parallel to existing public foot and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21 March 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.10) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 9, 10, 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the Order: To upgrade the existing advisory bay to an enforceable 'Disabled Badge Holders Only' bay on the following roads in the District of Rochford as specified:
Road - Description
Rochford Garden Way, Rochford - NORTH SIDE ONLY: From a point approximately 3.7 metres west of the common boundary of No's 177 and 179 Rochford Garden Way, west for a distance of 5.5 metres. Map Tile: TQ870 912 Revision 3 to Revision 4
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting tile number TQ870 912 revision 3 to revision 4.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 22 March 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
1. TO IMPLEMENT: No Wating at Any time' restrictions on the following length of road, in the District of Rochford as specified:
Road - Description
Rochford Garden Way, Rochford (north arm of junction) - BOTH SIDES: From a point approximately 10 metres north of Percy Cottis Road for approximately 12 metres in a northly direction.
Rochford Garden Way, Rochford (east arm of junction) - NORTH SIDE: From a point approximately 10 metres north of Percy Cottis Road for approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction.
Rochford Garden Way, Rochford (west arm of junction) - NORTH SIDE: From a point approximately 10 metres north of Percy Cottis Road for approximately 10 metres in a Westerly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chesham Drive, Laindon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Kings Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2024 for 64 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001313312 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Queens Road, Kings Crescent, Kings Road and vice versa (with access only into Chesham Drive)
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dry Street, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dry Street, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from the junction of High Road for a distance of approximately 470m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF0K5H8L - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via High Road, Staneway, Laindon Link Roundabout, Laindon Link, Roundacre New Roundabout, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Nether Mayne, Dry Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Horace Road, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Horace Road, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Norsey Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th April 2024 for 22 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001318024 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Norsey Road, Headley Road, Stock Road and vice versa (with access only into Horace Road).
The Order will come into effect on 21st March 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.5) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 21st March 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barnards Avenue, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 35m north west of its junction with Mitchells Avenue for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly then northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2024 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013302754AA - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while concrete reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Charlotte Avenue, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 20m south of its junction with Reeds Way for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th March 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001307390 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

(Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 25m north west of the junction with Magnolia Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south westerly direction (20m either side of the railway bridge). The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th March 2024 for 1 night (23:00 - 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SSV-37-40-250324 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on that length of road as specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only.
